Why Not Make Fleet Footwork Only Work Against Champions For Ranged Champions?

I feel like it's a win/win.

For opponents, it means the person using FF can't heal off waves. For people using FF, it means you can't waste it with off creeps (the heal is much lower).

Then, I feel like tuning the heal of FF up or down (depending on if it becomes too weak or too good) would be easy after that change.

Goal: I feel like it would be much healthier to make the heal/MS strictly when in combat (AA trades/skirmishes/teamfights), not sustain off waves.

You'd have to change how it works internally, then, since Fleet Footwork is an energized effect.

You can't just make FF not work on minions when Shiv/RFC do, since they're the same effect but with different bonuses.

I mean, I guess you could say "On ranged champions, energized attacks only grant FF versus enemy champions", but that's a lot clunkier than just reducing the heal, I think.

what you're saying is it doesn't work in the current form because it's too weak against minions. well then perhaps that's what needs adjusting.

both solutions would work.

Give it a bonus for attacking champions in a long period of time and ONLY champions, taking away the sustain of lane phase by just using it on minions.

Brilliant. It would makes games much more fair than who can get the most autos off on minions while energized.

Then it becomes entirely useless as a sustain rune for ranged champs., when sustain is supposed to be basically the entire point

I'd rather be able to proc it off minions for the movement speed alone. That prevents so much damage just by letting you get out of range after taking a last hit.
