I would actually say it is any skill heavy champs, not just mages if anything. I actually do not mind that the game is less people just AAing you down while your skills can't do anything to stop them. Top is actually a really crazy mix and seems fun for once. Mid casters are finally keeping up with assassins, but not washing them all out. Bot is still mostly AD champs with a couple AP sprinkled in. Jungle is still mostly AD duelers. I actually feel like there is some fun variety for once. I still wish more AP champs could jungle.

There is still far too much damage in the game overall, but I am actually enjoying the diversity I am seeing right now and hope it stays that way.

You do know ADCs undeniably take immensely more skill than mages right? With the exception of maybe Azir. You speak of autoattacking and positioning to do so as if its easy. Its not. Sitting in a backline popping off artillery skill shots is easy.
