Zenith Blade needs to be buffed.

Why? Well here is a list of things that completely hard counter Leona and make her useless(Assuming her enemies know what to look for vs Leona)

Shen Black shield. Morg ult. Dark Binding. Lux root. Lux Q Xerath stun. Taric in general. Alistar in general. Pyke in general. Nami Nautilus. Draven knockback Ezreal Vayne Kaisa Sivir Tahmn Kench Thresh Zilnean Lulu Caitlyn Lucian Jinx Annie Lissandra Zyra Zoe. (This is just the stuff in bottom lane alone).

What are the instances where Leona is actually a viable pick vs competent players?

Any combination of Brand/Sona/Soraka with Varus/Kogmaw/Jihn/Ashe.

My proposed buff- Increase the missle speed of Zenith Blade, and attach a VERY brief CC immunity upon it latching onto a target. Its currently out ranged, out speeded, and out utilitied by basically everything in the game and her entire gameplay revolves around it.

The reason why Leonas E has always been tuned to be so slow, avoidable, and counterable is because she was meant to be the burst damage melee support. Which she was. For a long time. And she was fine, she was balanced, she did her job. Well...they took ALLl her damage away. Literally ALL of it. But they didn't compensate her in anyway. So now her E is just slow as crap, and dreadfully easy to counter, for no reason. She is no longer a threat, her kit should be more usable now, since it isn't so high threat.

Is this a troll leona is a hard counter to pyke and also 80% of this list just makes no sense like you even play leona.

Anything that can either CC, knockup/ or aside, spell shield/evasion, or dash is a extreme hard counter to Leonas E. Leonas E is the slowest, most predictable, unthreatening animation in the game. Heres a tip. Don't do anything until you see Leona telegraph Zenith Blade. okay, now hit her with ANY cc, or dash, or shield. Or just move(Generally that's enough). And she is completely screwed.

Shes OKAY when she has a CC to follow up off of, but as an engager herself, she is absolutely terrible. So example, she can play off of an Ashe arrow. But she herself engaging is nearly impossible vs people who know what they are doing.

I somewhat agree Leona gameplay is mainly about her E and I can agree to make it cc immune during the dash but I don't know. She is strong when well played.

She has the most binary, easiest kit in the game. Its impossible to not play her well, the only thing she has to concern herself with is when to go in, and when not to go in. Which is something every champion has to know. The point is, she is always played well on a micro level. Her power is in her enemies hands, not her own. You legitimately have to be Sona, Soraka, or bad, to lose to a Leona lane that isn't being influenced by a jungler.

I mean, I played both. I can agree that she have a pretty binary kit and it could be a bit better but saying that Soraka/Sona lose to a Leona lane is a bit false. Both lane can wins equally, hell I win quite often against Leona as Sona.

Theres just literally no reason to not play Alistar instead. They are essentially the same champion.

Pulverize = Shield of Daybreak. Except Pulverize deals more damage, is AoE, has more range, and is unaffected by Tenacity. Headbutt = Zenith Blade. Except headbutt deals more damage, is faster, and is more reliable. Triumphant Roar = Eclipse (Just survivability), but Triumphant Roar heals.

Their R's are different, but Pulverize and Headbutt are so much better and more reliable than Leonas Q and E, that Alistar doesn't need something like Leonas ultimate to be the better functioning CC champion. So, Alistar without even taking his R into account, is better than Leona all together with her R into account. Now, lets put Alistars ultimate into the comparison...well now hes just vastly better than Leona. From a survival perspective. From a damage dealing perspective. From a reliability perspective.

He is better than Leona in EVERY way.

And do you know what the reasoning is behind why Alistar is allowed to be better? Because the Headbutt+Pulverize combo requires more "skill" than Zenith Blade+Shield of Daybreak. Which is true. But lets sit here and think about how little skill Headbutt+Pulverize combo requires....Definitely not enough to justify being so much better than Leonas combo.

It can be used as a zoning tool. If Leonas slowed there's pretty much a 100% chance she's not gonna be able to walk up and land Zenith on anything. the range on Lux's E allows for you to proactively stop Leona from ever doing anything, and the Q, in the event that Leona gets around an E, just Q her Zenith. She now has Zenith on a 10s CD, took damage, is rooted, taking more damage, and accomplished nothing.

Those are still, her best matchups lol. Not saying she CANT lose to a Sona/Soraka lane, but she has better odds of winning the lane than losing.
