Zed's plays

Whenever I saw a Zed on my team or on the enemy team killing someone and then blinking to safety I thought something like "Wow! That guy is super pro!" And I kept thinking that way, but today I saw a friend of mine playing him. He would ult and use his shuriken and spin in melee range, as well as auto'ing his enemies once or twice, until they had that shuriken above their heads. Until then, it didn't seem like a play, but when he recast his ultimate, it felt totally flashy and as an outplay. Whenever he used his W it was the same thing, even against a Ryze (quite hard to feel like you outplay a full point and click champion).

So... maybe its just me. I might be completely wrong here but... isn't Zed's kit a little bit pushed towards outplays, capable of creating them even when there wasn't any? Of course, this won't change much, but in my OP wooden elo (where my friend is too), most Zeds and Lee Sins and other 'LCSPlaymakers' players have an inflated ego that could use some toppling. But this was just some wondering I have been making. Merry X-mas nonetheless. Have a Poro! summoner 31

Azir wrecks most champs pre 6 just cause of his zoning, but a simple jungle gank can change that. yeah Zed is hard to face.
