Sona Buffed again (PBE)

KONO RUBICK DA··2 votes·1,001 views

Aria of Perseverance (W) Heal AP ratio increased to .25 from .2 Shield AP ratio increased to .25 from .2

since her % missing hp healing was removed, it perfectly makes sens. i wondered if they forgot the scaling when they removed it.Power Chord:

Diminuendo (Passive - W)

Target now deals 25% less damage for 3 seconds, up from 20%
AP scaling increased to .06 from .02
Now shrinks targets for duration of debuff

so, with 500 AP you can reduce the damage of a target by 55%, this can literally smack down a zed without needing to buy zhonya

I have no idea what the fuck youre talking about but this is why thread makers should put links in their posts.

So the "not sure if bait" guy doesn't complicate anything and the facts can be checked quickly and efficiently even long after the thread has gotten old

you can just go on surrenderat20 and check if it's a troll or not.

shouldn't have to go through 10 laggy webpages and a bunch of notes that could change at any moment to figure out which potentially bullshit thing you are referring to.

It is convention to put the source of your info along with the info being given. If its so easy to get then this shouldn't be an issue, unless its bullshit or something.

Sona frankly needed it. She's historically had a high win rate attributed to being extremely easy to use, but lately its approached the lowest she's ever had. "Easy to use" coupled with "normal winrate" generally means that she's easily countered, has a low skill ceiling or otherwise can't perform against good opponents.

Zed is still a straight counter to her by the way, his ult up and deletes her power chord and by the time he comes out of it, (and then finishes his combo) Sona should be dead before she can even use it on him. It was frankly obnoxious that her old power chord wouldn't stop him from killing her without ult, and even with the changes, he'll probably still be able to do that late enough in the game for Sona to even have 500 AP.

Sona's eating a damage nerf anyway, I see no reason to get worked up over her changes.

killing sona does not make you her counter as an assassin. Especially when she can just poop out her support skillz before she ever dies.

It's a 1.5 second stun ult that she has to aim in the correct direction when Zed pops up directly on top of her. (In other words, predict which way will work without waiting to move away from Zed's emergence location because she will die if she does)

If she ults before Zed ults, she runs the same risk of trying to Power Chord Zed; the projectile gets ignored.

Meanwhile, Nami can bubble, Janna can tornado, Lulu can polymorph, Thresh can hook and flay, Blitz can grab and knockup, any number of Supports have non-ultimate hard cc with the same duration or better.

As said before, her damage is getting nerfed, which was already lower than the damage from Nami's W at level 9. If she were to somehow survive long enough to get the auto off, it will be the same base damage as Nami's W at level 9 after the nerf. (Though Nami has more AD) her heal and shield has always collectively been lower than Nami's W at level 9, (and the heal effect still less than Nami's at level 13) her speed boost is not by any means an escape, and her ultimate is an ultimate, and furthermore has a momentary but unbelievably annoying channeling time. (The kind that an assassin like Kassadin or Zed can legitimately finish you off in, assuming death recap can be trusted)

Also, her abilities have a .5 second static cooldown, so she can't cast them simultaneously.

Do you have to apply the cord before or after zed ults??

ACENOX2 votes

when zed dashes on you with his ulti, he is going to unleash all his burst, so at this time you have to use your passive.

or if you have 500 AP just oneshot him. (unless he has maw)

Well you see, unlike Fearless, Meddler, Jag and others, it's possible that Rickless doesn't have a blatant and unjustified hatred of Sona that makes him intentionally and knowingly lie about Sona's playability and nerf her for no fucking reason. As a result he's probably the first employee to ever objectively play a test game on her and realize she's a fucking unplayable mess and say to himself, "WTAF, how did this shit actually hit Live in 4.13?!?!?"

That said, we'll see if any of this actually goes through or if it'll even matter if it does. It's more likely that Meddler will step in and shut it down last-second. Much the same he WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to personally undo the accidental buff recently. Didn't even wait til the next patch to undo it like the dozen or so bugfixes, he put himself out just to make sure Sona didn't receive a buff. That takes A LOT of deep-seated hatred for Meddler to go through the trouble of all this.
