So how viable is Diana in toplane?

Because that's what I did. And it was kinda boring: I died an little too much. She can't solo an lane. I built Ravenous Hydra and then spent the rest of game jungling since I lost my swag.

Oh yeah, I should have probably mentioned that it was my first time as her and I believe that melee-based champion = top laner. Ranged autoattackers = Bot. Mid = mages.

A little confused why you built an AP / Hybrid champ straight AD?

That build is unspeakably terrible.

Diana is basically okay top, but she doesn't build attack damage. At all. She builds pure AP like a mage. She's an AP assassin, at best an AP bruiser if you want to build some durability (I don't know how good that is though).

I must commend you for playing against Darius without boots and not dying alot.

Also didnt you have mana issues with that build?

She works best as a burst bruiser. Poke/farm with the Q, use W if the opponent goes in on you to deal extra damage and have a shield, E can be used if they escape and can even be used to disrupt ganks. R is a great gap closer, but can also be used to jump to minions if you are getting ganked far in the lane.
