Seriously, just because you played 1 game with her and got fed, you are not a katarina main. As easy as she is to play, you are not instantely a Katarina main. Play 200 games with her first or fuck off

anyone can play kat. ur basically a kat main with 1 game played because she is insanely broken. as long as u know to go in 3 seconds after the fight starts u can do what any other kat main does... spam spells and wipe out the other team.

I suppose it's more or less about whether they CC you when you shumpo in. If they do, then you will probably die. If they don't, then they'll probably die. It's mostly just about baiting out their escape/CC, then going all-in. There's more intricacies than that, obviously, but she's very binary and doesn't require too much skill to play.

1.Thats accualy not true i have to correct you. if they dont have CC they may still kill you why? because they will all focus you (sometimes) 2.Just because all her skills are -LOCK ON- it doesnt mean that it doesnt need ALLOT of skill to play her 3.pretty sure she is one of the hardest champ in high devision why? because you need to know what to build based on enemy items, watch out for enemy CC,when to dive,who to dive, make a fast combo if not u are dead, if u fail the fast combo u are dead, timely perfect zhonja, allot more that do not come in my mind atm ill update this later maybe 4.You wont understand this because u are probobly not higher than plat or you are not 3-4 years kata main no offence ofc 5.thank you for reading.

I thought I would address your assumption of Katarina, and of me aswell.

Any champion that jumps solo into a full team should die. I don't know why you are complaining about dying when you jump into a full team on your own, with no other threats. You are an assassin, designed more about picking off single targets and less about winning team fights for your team. Katarina's design is incredibly flawed, and makes her easier to play because she can assassinate more often and actually contribute descent damage in team fights with her ultimate.
I agree with you here, actually. Skill shots do not mean a champion requires more skill. Skillshots are cool, and more satisfying when you land them, but not explicitly based on skill to use, and more about whether your opponent lacks any gapclosers, or are CC'd.
I don't see the build of Katarina's really changing too much. They usually just build the large AP items and magic penetration. The bad ones like to rush Rabadon's Deathcap (please don't do this. It's not effective).
I'm unranked. I don't enjoy playing ranked games because people like to troll, get mad, and it's usually more stressful than enjoyable. But my rank wouldn't matter. My points, and what I am bringing up are what should matter. If you can't dismiss them, then you cannot deny them. I don't play too much Katarina. My friend does, but not enough to have much insight on this. I'm mostly discussing from a design perspective, and not from a balance perspective. She either does amazing, or horribly. There are plenty of other examples of this type of champion, but Katarina is a primary example of this.
You do still have good points, and why I don't think Katarina is inherently over-powered. I still think she's strong, and has design flaws that make her amazing in solo-queue and even better in lower elo games, but that's what my primary post was about. Her design is very unhealthy, and the main idea of being "high risk, high reward" is theoretically good, but it never plays out this way. It preys on the ignorance of the opponent's, and less of the individual skill of the player.

You lost me when u said u are unranked. it means you play with low elo in low elo no1 focuses kata witch automatly makes u people think she is op or noob champion thank you for this conversacion goodbye now :) PS: i dont play only kata she is just my favorite champ and i play her atleast 2 times per day

Typical childish response I suppose. Also, unranked means I have no elo. You didn't counter any of the points that I raised. Hell, you didn't even try and deny them. You made assumptions, acted like a child, then left without even reading my post. Well done, you have agreed with all of my points, and shown that what you said was wrong.

I countered all your points, but you wanted more to prove that she has a design flaw? My rank is irrelevant, it is my points that carry weight. If they were not problematic, then you could explain them away. But you can't. You have disproven none of my points, so I am still correct. I have proved you wrong, and that is more important than anything else here. Please, prove me wrong, otherwise you have no argument to stand on. I don't play ranked because I find it tedious as hell, and not very enjoyable. Mechanics are quite simple with Katarina, and you have not shown how she is challenging in any way. Don't bother responding unless you are actually going to make any points.

Actually, this thread makes a good point.

Just because you have, with a very small sample size, won games as a champion, it doesn't mean you're proficient with them. It's irritating to see threads that say they've "mained" a champion, but think they're overpowered because, in the one or two games they played as them, they got a good kill count.

While this is true, I'd take the opinion of a main over someone who plays the champion twice unless there was a huge disparity in individual player skill.
