Is starting boots a bad idea on Lulu?

are you against like a brand, cass, karthus or spammable ability skill shot champ.... then no. To clarify it is a great idea for a skill shot champ. If they miss abilities then your "lack of lane pressure" will be worth it. Plus you will only have that build for all of 3 maybe 5 levels. so if you get ganked... just run away

If she's against skillshot-heavy mages, no.

Otherwise, yes.

Trying to dodge extreme skillshots and farm at once with 325 movement speed is a nightmare.

The bad thing about starting with boots is the lack of mana regen. Also, you can't really hurt anyone. Starting boots kills any lane pressure you could have.

Depends. Do you like being raged at for feeding because you didn't dodge all those skill shots?

I wouldn't personally but I don't consider it a terrible idea. I just think starting the game with a D-Ring and rushing into with 23 AP and 24% Attack speed rune page just makes her really strong in the lane phase. Since I generally rush into Nashor's, I would usually need the mana regen from ring so it would prob be a little hard to start boots for me personally.

Though I do agree that in some cases it can be smart to start boots at level 1.
