There needs to be a "match me only with people in my league" option

I.e. if you're silver, you will only get matched with and against other silver players. If you're plat, you will only get matched with and against other plats. Keyword here is "option". Make it a clickable button somewhere for normal games and TB games. This way people who don't like longer queue times won't be forced into them while people who don't care won't have to face people far beyond their skill level. While this won't change the fact that smurfs will still be a thing, it might at least curb the over-zealous plats/diamonds vs. silver/gold games that are rampant in normals. Furthermore, if it's made an option, there is literally no downside to installing it: people can choose to take part or not, and neither side is any the worse for it.

That imo is a flawed design because being better than your peers doesn't mean you're qualified for the next level.

That's why occasionally the system gives you a few challenges, if you can overcome them, you succeed in obtaining qualification.

EDIT: Matchmaking should be equal for all players, instead of having different algorithms within the same mode (especially when it comes to competitive ladder), that would introduce chaos.

I think the system is called ranked.

I think the system is called ranked.

Except ranked doesn't always do this either.

I'd like this option in normals, for when I finish my placement.

Yeah the amount of times this happens to me when I play with my brother, who is better than me but not plat, and yet together we constantly face guys with more wins than our team combined... They aren't always that great but it's still dumb, especially when they are good and they main Lee Sin and are still playing him in normals even though he is literally their 3rd most played champ.
