If riot had to nerf renekton why did they give darius the same traits?

I don't get it. Riot nerfed Renekton hard for being an oppressive lane bully who's sustain ability in fights was just too high but why did they turn around and give darius all the things that warranted a nerf on renekton in the first place? Outplay darius by sitting inside of his Q? Even if he doesn't heal any non ranged champion will still be zoned completely out of lane and won't even be safe under turret and his mana costs are still low enough to the point where the removal of mana pots won't change a damn thing even if he spams his abilities whenever he can.Darius is a champion perfectly capable of making sure any non ranged champion doesn't get any more than a couple CS per wave because even under tower he can still clip you with his Q or even pull you and heal any tower damage he takes, yes i know this game is based around high elo play but I doubt they're having any easier of a time and LoL's player base isn't based around high elo it's held up by low elo people attempting to enjoy the game not have salt poor out of their eyes every time they're forced to face someone who's playing darius to be that 1 a-hole.
