Lets talk about Abilities vs. Turrets

I've been wanting to have this conversation with the league of legends community and Riot team for a long time now. I never got to doing it, but after seeing tristanas |e| is able to damage turrets, i decided i would finally create this discussion. What i want to, and want the community to talk about is, as you can tell by the title, abilities vs turrets. Rengars semi overhaul Disabled his Q from damaging turrets. This is very understandable because of the sheer turret taking power he had when doing this, but now i'm a bit confused. With tristana gaining the ability to now take towers very efficiently, along with Nasus retaining his god like tower taking power, I ask why rengar and other champions are having this taken away from them. It can be argued that nasus's Q deals far more damage than rengars Q ever would, but even still could they not change rengars Q to deal less damage to towers? or even remove the gaining of attack speed afterward? This also applies to shen, a champion i feel Riot has put to the side though of course i can be completely wrong. Why would his basic attacks not work toward his passive? The damage from it is far lower than the Q of nasus. This is my question all around, why are champions like rengar, yorick, shen and more not allowed to utilize their abilities/passives against towers or at least tweaked versions of them, when other champions can?

Riot's not consistent.

Facts of life.

Haha hey, to be fair they have a lot of things to tend to, but being the most played game in the world, I personally expect more consistency also

Towers should be immune against all kinds of boosted Auto attacks.

What Nasus and Jax do with towers late is a total joke. Why do we even have towers if you can wreck them in three seconds while using a freaking lamppost?!

I like trist's new tool tho... It doesn't deal massive damage to the turret, but its use is focused getting the enemy away from the defending turret.

I couldn't agree more, Riots focus appears to be fast gameplay, so removing all boosted auto attacks would cease this idea.

Because Rengar if he wins lane hard could instantly crush your turret. If he lost lane, he could still instantly crush your turret. Nasus has to get huge amounts of Q farm to damage turrets well, and tends to lose lane.

Like i was saying, at least a tweaked version of rengars Q should be allowed, and shens passive not stacking against turrets is still left unjustified. Also, I must diagree with nasus not having the constant strength to win lane, a good nasus can win lane well, and it isn't much of an effort to stack Q's. However, in that sense a good any champion can win lanes so there is no argument there, I just feel that as long as Nasus retains his right to strike towers, inhibitors, and nexuses down easily, why should other champions should also gain this right.

I guess' rengar's quadra Q would be an issue for turrets idk maybe

haha yeah, but like i said at least a tweaked version of the ability would be nice. For example, like not allowing attack speed afterward, not stacking rage, not dealing as much damage as normal, many things can be taken into account to allow rengars Q and other champions abilities against turrets.

Use the "Enter" key.

Also, champions are not consistent. Some get to kill towers, some don't. There are a lot of kinds of power.

I feel like the only things that should effect turrets are things specifically designed and balanced around the way they effect turrets - e.g. Trist E, Janna shield, Azir W. Enhanced AAs just shouldn't work against turrets at all, because then you end up with shit like old Rengar, and Nasus.
