I say this as someone who really liked Pyke when he first came out
Getting executed at roughly 50% health late-game and losing off of that because you didn't expect to be executed at 50% health feels hella shit.
EDIT: I've decided to do some math on this just for the hell of it.
Let's take a level 16 Pyke with about 4 items
appears to be the most common combination of Pyke items since the changes made tank Pyke borderline trolling. Let's also consider that most Pyke's take double adaptive force for stat shards (+12AD) and the health one which will grant AD because of Pyke's passive, as well as Sudden Impact, granting 7 lethality when casting Death from Below.
At level 16, Pyke's ulti has a base execute of 575 + 80% bonus AD + 1.5 per 1 lethality Also his passive gives him 1 AD per 14 bonus health purchased. Stats from items + runes: Pure AD: 55+55+45+40+12=192*.8=165.6-->166 Lethality: 21+21+7 (Sudden Impact)=49 * 1.5 =49+29.5=78.5-->79 AD from health= 400 (Cleaver) + 81.18 (Stat Shard) = 481.18/14 =34.37-->34 So in total at level 16, Pyke can execute from: 575+166+79+34=854
854 HP give or take some for math errors or item disparities, which would actually have a big impact. So I was being hyperbolic but that is roughly 40% for most non-tank champions, which seems a little excessive. But then again damage in this game has been excessive for the better part of 3 years now so....
