Why does Katarina get to assinate entire teams?
I thought the whole role of an assassin was to take out one person? So why does Kat's kit allows her to take out an entire team in a team fight?

Because, like other champs, she has an intended purpose. To chase and murder stragglers. Zed is intended to bomb tanks. Leblanc needs to trick and burst 1 at a time. Katarina is made to nuke anyone and anything that stands at 25% hp or lower (unless crazy fed)- which requires her to use the team as bait. If you wanna complain about that, check out Gnar. I'd rather face kata than gnar. I can nuke her, I can't do a thing against gnar.
Because the team was out of position, of course! They should have been with their team... wait...
Honestly, there's no consistency with Riot's Assassin class. You've got everything from pentakillers to champions that can only kill one target to champions who can't even kill the one target and get out. I'd really like to know what's the deal with the Assassins.
Katarina is what we call a "stun and done" champion.
Because she has a weak pre-six Because CC stops her if you happen to do it in the 0.01 seconds before her ult melts your team
