Ranked Is Useless (For Bronzes)

There is no point in even doing ranked as a level 30. You need to have a full team if you want to get out of bronze. Ive been carrying most of my ranked games, and my team straight up feeds, someone goes afk, or our jungler doesn't know what a gank means. I know im salty right now, but when you've been in bronze for 6 months, getting to level 18 first while everyone else is level 12-15, its annoying! I carry every game, get the most CS every game, and I never win. Every time i go in a team fight, 3 of my team mates go in, 2 stay back and do nothing. Honestly its pointless, im bronze I right now, and am about to go to bronze 2 if i lose one more game.

My only suggestion to fix this problem, is that you can only play champs that you have a mastery skill in, in ranked. Kind of a bad suggestion, but, its the best i can think of that may actually work. People get to lvl 30 and straight up go into ranked with a champ theyve played with once or twice, then die 10 times in 15 minutes ruining the game.

Carrying and getting fed are not synonymous. I can guarantee your issue is a mixture of mechanics, cs ability, itemization, and not knowing what you personally need to be doing to close out a winning game. It's also likey that over 51% of the throws that happen in games you're having good scores in are due to you underestimating your teammates, enemies, and having bad positioning in fights that swing the game in either the opponent or your team's favor. Like you're salty because you don't know why you're salty. You just want to not be salty and improve, but you don't know how, because you think that based on your scores compared to those of your rank, you're just superior.

Thanks, I actually found out the reason why ive been doing so bad. Its because I dont harass the enemy laner enough. Id harass them, but id let them get the CS.

There is never, ever only one factor keeping someone bronze. I could name everything I know about my mistakes and still not be able to tell you everything because I can't see everything.

It feels like this often to bronze players, but the reality is you probably don't even know enough to know that you don't know what you're doing wrong. I guarantee if you were to show replays to a higher rated player they could point out a multitude of mistakes that you never would have thought of on your own. Granted, I have never seen you play, but this is how it typically is with bronze players. Most of us were there at some point, suck it up, watch your replays, actually put in the effort to learn what you're doing wrong, then fix it. If you get caught up in the "my team is feeding and I can't carry" crap then you'll never climb.

Sign up at replay.gg, they keep track of your game replays. http://www.replay.gg

Also, there are mathematical discrepancies in the way matches are currently working that should be addressed. The median number of games played by the top-40 in NA's Bronze V Hecarim's Executioners is 19 games.

But as you get near the top of the list there are a collection of players rated as better than 95% of the division who have been playing in that division for over 100 games.

You're looking at my alt account. Notice how it says my last game played on that account was 3 months ago? lol...

It is easy to get out of Bronze if you have skill, understand when to take objectives, and play champion that is capable of "carrying." Basically, play a champion that scales really well as the game goes on. Also, just avoid playing in the bot lane in Bronze. It is harder to carry from there, just too many players and variables to consider. If your support or adc is making a lot of misplays then it effects the outcome of the lane.

I was Gold V last season, I think I place in Bronze II or I this season. Got to Silver III with no real issues. Hit a bit of a wall in high silver, then got into Gold V again maybe a month or 2 after the season started. Currently, I am floating in Gold IV, but I may have just hit a bit of a skill ceiling. My games are for the most part good or OK, I don't have many bad games. In general, the people I am laning against I am slightly better than, so I am pretty confident that I will eventually move up.

If you notice that you are better than most of the players you are playing against (a majority so over 50%) you should move up. Especially, if you encounter bad players still, then you can capitalize on some easy wins. Probably 1 out of every 4 games I encounter someone in Gold (usually IV, or V) that is just not very good in laning. I try to capitalize on their weakness as a player and push my lane hard after killing them. Those games typically lead to easy win. It may be also that so many players are playing Irelia and are not incredibly familiar with the champ that I am able to capitalize on novices in the top lane. I have laned against a lot of very bad irelias, which makes me think that the champion isn't really that over powered. Probably a lot of players are not use to seeing Irelia in lane. Prior the Ekko nerfs, when I laned against a bad Tank Ekko I would still struggle in the lane regardless if I was ahead.

The point is if you spend your effort and energy on your personal game you will improve and be more likely to climb.
