So i was trying to find a secondary adc to use and stumbled across Kennen and good god does he seem to be OP in the adc role so far. i understand that its ATTACK damage carry but if you go atk spd and ap hybrid he can do everything an adc can do high speed auto attack relient shreds towers and tanks. i always see people say how bad he is as a top laner and mid laner but i never see reports of him in bot lane. why not i have no complaints on him in bot lane yet so please someone tell me why no kennen bot lane

Actually Kennen has been played botlane in the pro scene both as marksman and support in the past. When that fell out of favor the FotM chasers moved on as well.

The sheep don't think he's viable there, mostly explaining his lack of popularity Bot.

The general answer however is that a champion is not popular in a given lane because another champion can do its job better or the job it does simply doesn't mesh well with or against certain strategies that are popular. Like, imagine trying to play Yi when it's popular to play a strong Counter Jungler and stomp the enemy Jungler while they farm. Yi's a perfectly legitimate champion in his own right in terms of raw power, but the popular strategy hits him where it hurts the most, he couldn't possibly survive like this.

Kennen ADC was done since forever, and few months back he even seen quite some proplay. Even as a proper AD marksman, not some hybrid stuff.

The reason why he isn't ever very popular is how he is hard to utilize properly as marksman, even for high level players: he has low range and his only mobility steroid disables his basic attack.
