Forsaken Jayce and his current standings.

Let me start off by saying this, I don't know why but Forsaken Jayce just comes off as one of the best skins in the game for me. It goes so far against his actual design but you managed to pull it off extremely well.

That being said I have to ask why the sounds for the skin sound so.....Blunky? No, not clunky. Blunky, if you don't know what I mean by that go into game and play with it or find a youtube video of it. It just sounds really really bulky?

Anywho, onto my main point. I haven't played Jayce in a really really really long time. So picking him up again and fiddling with him has been alittle bit of an eye opener. For one I feel like he can output a very large amount of damage when the situation arises. But any type of armor basically shuts down his damage altogether. I feel like he is kind of like an anti squishy fighter that loses to other fighters. While he can sometimes take out a squishy target with relative ease, he suffers immensely by the slightest amount of armor. Last game for example started off fairly meh, I gave the reksai first blood top lane, but picked up a kill upon arriving back. When the reksai came back all she had was Ninja-Tabi. It felt like I went from being able to exchange blows to throwing a tenis ball at a brick wall. So I pick up a pair myself on my next back, however the damage that I was being dealt by the Reksai made it feel as though I had little to no armor to begin with.

I honestly have no idea if it was just a bad match up or Jayce is just not currently in a good spot. His numbers probably shouldn't be touched, but he should at least feel less "clunky" to play with. Controlling and comboing with Jayce feels less rewarding that people like Reksai or Renekton who can basically nail you 2-3 times for a huge chunk of your healthbar. As opposed to Jayce unleashing the entirety of his kit on someone only to see you did maybe 15-25% of their health, and leave you sitting on half your mana bar in the process.

I like it a lot better than the ultimate skins, he's also supposed to sound kind of like ronin from Guardians of the galaxy, so that's why his voice is that way.

Sorry I should have been more clear by what I was trying to say >< I mean the sounds effects of his attacks and skills. They sound really blob like, almost as if you took a cup placed it down in a sink and tilted it letting the air blop out.

Yea I used to play a lot of Jayce and I agree the W nerfs especially hurt him alot. That being said, I would almost never get tabi on him. You usually build cleaver and lw first as a priority(CDR boots) to get rid of those pesky armor problems. Compared to other meta tops, he is definitely in a weak spot atm tho, kind of whats stopping me from buying the badass skin and playing him.

I honestly didn't think the W nerf would hurt him so bad, but it's like the Veigar ult nerf imo (but not as bad) It may be slight but you can still feel it when you play the champ.

Jayce is lacking in his core strengths and doesnt have any place in this meta.

He may prosper in very low elos.
