How much time did you need to do those masteries?
because it looks like you did it in 1 hour and was like "fuck off if it's broken we don't care"

I think the new masteries are great. The only broken one is Warlord's but I dont have a problem with the rest

yea man, those ap masteries are for sure good, AD champs can get free attack speed/healing but what we get? 5% more cdr? i for sure need this on fiddle
The pages are supposed to give you significant bonus's in certain areas, and they are turning away from just trying to give you a ball of stats.
Thunderlords Decree is a great mastery for all AP mages.
You are looking at this the wrong way. You are mad they took the flat AP out and things like that but fail to realize they filled it with a mastery that gives you 2 percent increased damage on your abilities. After level 6 or 7 that because much more useful.
Also there is a ton of free mana sustain on those pages.
There is plenty for AP mages and of course some champs are going to benifit more than others. Thats how the game works and Riot can't fix that. Every champion is unique and saying the masteries are bad because "fiddle sure can use this" is a crap argument. The champion is what needs help, not the masteries. He is weak because he doesn't have a significant jungle item and his kit is outdated.
TL;DR The masteries are better now than they were before.
There was actually more mana sustain in the old masteries. Old masteries had expanded mind (25/50/75 mana) and meditation (same values as 5.22, but constant instead of burst)
New meditation is the only mana sustain mastery and if you want it, you give up merciless. Just a wild guess here, most champions who were compensated for chugging mana pots took expanded mind. Those champions lost 75 mana to get 50 base mana and 3 less mana per level (non-supports).
I play AP mid's from time to time and I literally have never had a problem with mana.
Riot did not want to have an item that completely took away a weakness of a character. Oh my character has mana issues. Ill just buy 5 mana pots and im good for the rest of the game. Riot said they were about windows of power and they are playing to that.
If you are crazy mana hungry early, you are generally compensated for higher damage or better late game scaling and utility.

lol it took me 30 seconds. I love how fast and easy it is to assign points now. I don't use premade mastery pages anymore; I just spec it in champion select
you for sure, need to read it again
