At this point, Urgot W can't be considered any defense anymore

I know, Urgot needed nerfs, since his presence in pro play was overwhelming. But the cut to his shield was too much in my opinion....

At level 1, the skill shields for 32.... That's like half an AA, if anything. And it doesn't get much better later in the game. You invest heavily in bonus health and the shield still just represents a really small part of your health. As defense, it is absolutely meaningless and its only purpose now is offensively using it to trigger your passive. Unfortunately, we got told that they won't put power back into his shield... But I think he could use some more defense again, since he is supposed to be a juggernaut.

In my opinion, the problem is reliability. Juggernauts are supposed to be beefy and deal huge, yet unreliable damage. With the changes to his Q and R in the past, making them way more reliable, I think this didn't hold true anymore. They could have put a higher delay on Q again and take away some of the prjectile speed from the R. Urgot

This is what happens when people cry for Urgot nerfs just because a few pros did decently with him. Urgot was never a problem in soloqueue, I'd rather face Urgot any day then cancer champs like Fizz, Ahri, Jax, Camille, Irelia and so on.

Correction, Urgot was never a problem in American solo queue. In high end Korean solo queue he won every matchup and was all but guaranteed his 2 item spike. He was the question "Can you beat me?" that defined the meta, no champion could really say "yes"

You think Riot balanced urgot for soloQ? Cause i doubt that.

I was surprised by the huge nerf to his shield. They cut everything about it in half, the base shield and the scaling. It seems like the cost should have been on only nerf or maybe just the base shield nerf kept but with all of these it was too much.

Yep, it seems they wanted to make sure he is dead and stays dead....

They nerfed him because he was 100% pick and ban in pro play lol He can't even use new conqueror at all, it's awful.

His W stacks it in 1.5s

Ya, I don't understand why they had to nerf his W shield....nerf the damage on his W / passive or his e

Or do something to make him more reliant on landing his Q.

Or a combination of it all..

It's almost like having a defense ability on the very same offensive ability is annoying to deal with. I personally appreciate that they did the same to Ornn, except removing it entirely. And before anyone says anything about Sion, Ivern, or Nautilus shields, none of them have the damage potential Urgot has.

Now this statement is funny, because the actual damage from his W is absolutely nothing. It all comes from his passive, the shotgunknees which have seperated cooldown.

Which, again, is actually a problem with reliability. In the past, he used to have a fairly long CD on his passive, so that he had to manage the procs carefully if he didn't want to stand there with no damage available. But with the buffs they gave him, his knees have a fairly short CD and he can have access to them basically every time when it comes to a trade.

They gave him a huge bunch of buffs in reliability because he was considered weak at the beginning. But he shouldn't be this reliable with his kit. The shield was fine, if he would have actual gaps in his damage output he would be way more managable.

Nobody gave a shit about Urgot up until Riot allowed him to move during R execution.

Then he became pick/ban in proplay.

Instead of working on that, let's just cut in half his defense steroid.

Warranted his shield needed a nerf, that is straight up gutting.

Imo he would have done fine with base shield nerfs for laining phase and some damage nerfs to shotgun knees in the midgame

His W numbers were a bit crazy, he needed that nerf. His Q nerf was insane though. That mana cost is crazy.

He'll get buffed soon enough, for now he just was too overwhelming in pro play and needed to be gutted so that they can rebalance him.

The shield needed a nerf in your opinion, fine. But cutting both base and scaling in half was a bit too much, don't you think? I don't even notice that I have a shield anymore, since it is gone the very moment I press the button.

At least he still has a shield. Ornn
