Yasuo has one of the most annoying Shields, for starters its really strong on how much damage it mitigates, but it also refreshes super fast. For a mobile champion like Yasuo who can already dodge skill shots and mitigate damage that way (plus his wind wall) why is he allowed to also have a very fast refreshing shield on top of that?
Very easy to alternate between it and Wind Wall to safely CS for long periods, it's pretty dumb
Because CT likes to over kit his champions.
I seriously still don't get why he's allowed to have two free passives. Doubling your total crit chance is already super strong offensively, but he gets to have his cake and eat it too with a pretty decent free defensive passive shield on top of it.
Skillshot? Press E to dodge.
Projectile? Windwall and ignore it.
Oh no! Despite my incredible mobility and Windwall i got hit? Who cares, passive shield.
"But it's easy to take down his shield with autos!" Were it any other champions, that auto would have been free damage, but Yasuo just mitigates it.
Personnaly, the worst part of his Windwall is it's ability to deny your creeps. There's a canon minion about to die? Yasuo just hits W and you say goodbye to your 50 gold.
It's the same reason he gets double crit and free arpen. certainlytrash never wants you to have to play league, he wants you to be able to play your own game and just be able to ignore everything that goes on around you so you can make that montage.
Honestly I don't really care about his shield too much, I just wish his E had an actual cooldown.

As far as I know, Yasuo was brought in with a similar perspective as Mordekaiser, which is to give viable melee options in bot lane rather than have it all be marksmen. That's why he has a lot of safety, it allows him to not get poked out of lane constantly. However, when people found that he's a very strong mid lane pick, he moved there and top for the most part. That's why I always advocate for a rework for Yas: he has a kit built to deal with marksmen, and that makes him hell for mid laners. His E was meant to gap close to an ADC, but it can be used to dodge skillshots mid. His W can be used to block ADC autos, but it can also block point and click projectiles, like TF yellow, as well as skillshots. Just E close, W, and until the enemy mid can reposition properly, Yasuo has free reign to just auto or Q over and over. It makes it unfun to play against, only made worse by having most poke mitigated by the shield he gets just by moving.
yasuos shield has always been annoying to play against, at one point there was an interaction with certain champions cc abilities where his shield would pop but he wouldn't be cc'd or anything and on champions with animations, (old and new ww for example) he could kill them before their animation finished. yas and a few other champions are so overloaded that they could easily make two or three new champions by building around the excess parts
well I got a few answers for you, bud. IDK if you know how to play against him, but since everyone bans him and doesn't learn how to fight him I'll say it anyway.

Well "super fast" is subjective, and by saying "how much damage it mitigates" is telling me you are trying to burst straight through it. if you are a mage or a marksmen, it's no problem at all. All you have to do is hit the shield once with anything, which is further enforced by the shield being able to be taken down by 1 damage. There is SO many people saying "it blocks too much damage" when it can be taken down by 1 damage just as easily as it will be taken down by 1k damage.
For a mobile champion like Yasuo
Well he isn't really mobile outside of the lane, after all he can only dash to an enemy. Meaning he can't really catch you without allied champions or minions. Basically he's situationally mobile.
My guess is so that he can properly mid without getting poked out but I personally don't agree with that
Honestly if they made the Shield have a longer CD (Like malzs shield) it wouldn't be as frustrating but he gets it back based on movement which is super strong since he already moves like a gajillion times around.
That or make him use mana, so he actually has to think about what he does without having 0 restrictions. because being able to E at least 7 times in a row (minions + you) is pretty ridiculous, cap it at 3 then it goes on Cd or something, even Ahris ULT cant go more than 3 jumps
