Fnatic had skills and plays, C9 Had Darius
C9 won. Darius so Balanced
Suprise, once a team does actually play WITH darius isntead of playing 4 people and Darius games, Darius rules the game.

NA > EU confirmed.
7th place NA > 1st place EU
Lol this kid is salty af.
Seriously. Just look at the scoreboard. They won, fair and square. Deal with it.
GO C9
All week, I've been hearing "Darius has been picked every game, but hasn't done anything" but the moment c9 wins "Darius is broken and thats the reason c9 won"
Please be more salty, because salty tears taste the best
You can't IGNORE Darius in a team fight.
Teams are using him as a front-liner that can't just be ran past because he will kill your entire team while still requiring effort to kill.
Fnatic picked a REALLY bad team fight, they fought next to an Azir turret, without peeling Darius or removing him from the fight, and without a combo onto the squishy carries.
Top that off, individual play by C9 and their skirmish play was far better than Fnatic's. Sneaky's Buster shot into Incarnation's soldiers to reset and jump out to live. That's top tier, something we NEVER saw from Fnatic as they only half-assed their combos the entire game.
"Outplayed"
Rewatch the damn fight. The Azir damage was out of control. Also there was a two man Yasuo ult and a 3 man Oriana ult and they still didn't do much.

yasuo ultied 1 man (morgana) orianna ultied 2 people while one being darius under morgana shield
Thank you for making my point better lol. I only watched it one time quickly.
This was the only game at worlds where darius was able to pentakill.
It's not even that much about the pentakill. C9 played worse overall (both baron calls were utter bs), they did not deserve the win.
Fnatic made a bunch of dumb dumb decisions and lost because of it.
C9 actually made the dumb decisions and still beat them.
As dumb as a late game flash pulverize on Darius? Or melee form Oriana?
Since when do you not pulverize the main threat on the other team?
I'm pretty sure Darius pulled her in that fight.
The main threats were Tristana and Azir, not the full tank front line Darius.
Still don't know how Oriana gets withing 550 range of Darius.
Also no call was as dumb that game as FNC's shotcaller Yellowstar baiting his team into that ace.
He should have also knocked Darius back and that fight would have been FNCs.
A significant amount of Orianna's damage comes from her auto attacks. So that isn't surprising at all.
Yellowstar definitely wasn't on his game today.
He could have if Huni didn't use last breath in combo with the pulverize, that was clearly the call to engage.
Ori has more than enough damage late game to contribute to fight without auto's.
I just find it funny that you say that C9 made the worse decisions, when last time I check they didn't make the decision to poorly engage a fight resulting in the loss of the game.
You can try to blame Darius for this, but this is the first game he has looked good in 12 appearances. Every one has been acknowledging his mediocrity and calling him an overrated first pick, now that he works out here comes the typical op chants from the board.
I'm saying that Alistar should have headbutted him out after the Yas ult. That would have been an auto win for FNC.
Ori still isn't a long range mage. She is mid range, so you might as well mix in the autos.
I'm pretty sure no one thought losing that would would cost the entire game. Everyone was shocked by the ace, even C9.
Darius has looked bad because teams are putting him in engage comps. He sucks in those because he can be kited. C9 ran a poke comp where the enemy team has to go through Darius to engage. This is a HUGE difference that allows Darius to show his immense OPness.
He used the headbutt to get in range to flash pulverize, still doesn't change the fact that he decided to engage on Darius who was the worst possible choice.
Ori doesn't have to be a long range mage to out range Darius, and I'm pretty sure you can use all of her spells with at last 1000 units between her and the ball.
Obviously he didn't think that the engage would cost him the game, that why its the DUMBEST decision of the game, to lose a game with that kind of a lead because of a knee jerk engage that baits your whole team in is throwing 101.
And lol at you trying to make a champion that is only successful with a comp built around them sound op. No shit a champ with a supporting cast is going to look strong. Should we nerf Kog'maw becasue of "juggermaw", or maybe we can destroy Yasuo because of "knock up" comps, or even better lets nerf Oriana to the ground because of "ball delivery comps."
And to be honest that wasn't even a comp to make Darius win, they didn't have a lot of hard engage that could lock people down and let Darius reach them. They had alot of displacement cc that made their comp look more like a disengage comp than anything.
Still I just don't see how Darius can be considered op when they all ran into him with that engage, Its never been smart to get with in range of him let alone on purpose. And since the juggernaut rework was aimed to make his late game better with more of an impact in team fighting he was literally the worst target to pick.
I repeat, DUMBEST decision of the game goes to FNC.
I just rewatched the fight. The pulverize hit 2 people, so Darius wasn't the main target.
Ori was trying to burst down the back line, that's why she was close enough to get hit by Darius.
I think Yellowstar thought they could get a quick kill to turn it into a 4v5 and turn things around. That's a pretty common reaction in the majority of games, so I don't think it was dumb.
Darius is successful on the competitive scene that way. He still completely dominates solo q regardless.
They ran into Darius because he was the front line. Otherwise they might as well have just surrendered the game since that was the only way to the backline.
It's pretty simple. But I guess haters going to hate.
How ever much damage control you try and how many excuse you look for it was a poor fight both in theory and practice. All this to try to discredit C9 by making it seem like they got lucky or FNC is actually better is just sad, the results speak for them selves, and C9 has a two game lead on every one in the group for a reason.
http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.overallPosition&order=ascend&roleSort=Top If by completely dominates Solo q you mean barely in the top 10, than you would be right.
Plenty of teams have worked around Darius, thats why his winrate so far is just barely over 50%.He was a first pick so they could have easily built a better comp even fucking Pain Gaming knew how to counter pick him.
Aint nothing to hate on their salty, the better team won.
Trying to discredit C9? I'm completely cheering for them. No idea where that delusion of yours comes from.
If you actually looked carefully at the stats, you would see that Darius' win rate is being dragged WAY down by 33% of the players who have only played him 1-5 times. Otherwise his win rate would probably be #1.
He has struggled because teams that have picked him have not built the proper team comp for him to succeed, that's been pretty obvious. The coaching at Worlds has been pretty bad on most teams so far.
Your making excuse after excuse for FNC. Rooting for C9, could have fooled me. A freaking wild card team just beat a team with Darius on it, all this C9 only won because of Darius is horeshit.
What champion's win rate isn't dragged down by a horde of inexperienced players? Unless the champion is extremely simple or genuinely broken, this is the case for all champions.
Once again a champion with a comp built around them is always gonna look strong and never be the basis for a nerf, that's why Kog'maw isn't completely unlivable since pro 5v5 is the only place he is worth a damn.
Also C9 was clearly running a disengage comp, and did exactly what the comp was supposed to do when FNC forced and engage. The whole team tunnel visioned on the back line and left them self no way to peel Darius, they got out comped and out played.
You can keep trying but all the stats point to Darius just being above average in Solo Q and Pro.
I'm not making any excuses at all. Just stating what actually happened. You are the one hell bent on making FNC look bad. I wanted C9 to win since they are representing NA.
99% of the community agrees Darius is OP, how can you possibly argue with that without looking stupid?
You say Kog is un-viable outside 5v5? ROFL, Kog is the main ADC I play and I carry with him in solo q all the time.
Disengage comp? Do you know what a disengage comp is? The only disengage they had was the Azir ult and the Lee ult.
Keep trying? You mean keep winning. I have refuted everything you have said in the thread. You are just one of those people who refuses to acknowledge when they are wrong.
You have done everything to try to make that engage not look like it was as bad as it was, and this whole thread which you seem to agree with states that FNC should have won.
99%, I'm sure you have a source for that.
http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.overallPosition&order=ascend&roleSort=ADC Stats don't lie, none existent pick rate and barely above average win rate. Yep certainly a Solo q power house.
Yeah they had a disengage comp. Azir ult, Lee ult, Trist ult. not to mention all three of them all have mobility. And they have a Morgana who can stop engages with black shield and dark binding. You tell me how the hell you consider that a poke comp, Azir is the only one they chose that even has a good spammable poke ability.
Lol what have I been wrong about? Darius isn't op and is highly overrated. C9 earned their victory. And FNC made the biggest mistake of the game with that engage. None of that is wrong.
"keep winning" sure thing Charlie Sheen. You sure are winning. I think were done here
And C9s baron calls were not dumb or what? Fnatic played better overall, Balls just happened to have Darius.

And C9s baron calls were not dumb or what? Fnatic played better overall, Balls just happened to have Darius.
Let's ignore the fact that c9 was leading the game for the majority of the match and that balls was behind as well until a bad fight from fanatic allowed balls to gain strengtg.
itt: people are mad that acarry can carry.
C9 had 2 major bad decisions, that were both baron calls. For a Darius to come back that hard after a minor mistake just proves how overly broken he is atm. Yes, he should be viable even if behind, but he shouldn't get to destroy the whole enemy team after 1 minor mistake.
Yeah, because Darius has been wrecking the LCS....oh wait, he hasn't. Not C9's fault that Yasuo ults only Morg.
Argumentation skills aren't really something people learn here right?
It isn't that hard to tell that Darius hasn't exactly been having a huge impact in most of the matches he has been in. A lot went right for C9 in that last fight and a lot went wrong for Fnatic. C9 deserved the win because at the end of the day their mistakes did not cost them the game.
And when looking at the baron calls yes the first one was not good. It was a desperate play and one that got them ace'd. However, the last one was somewhat brilliant and it gave them the strenght to push which ultimately led the the disastrous fight that won C9 the game.
And for the record my two favorite teams are Fnatic and TSM, my two second favorite teams are Origen and C9. The first LCS that I ever watched was Xpeke backdooring the nexus. I got to watch all the hype around TSM getting Bjergsen. Origen has been performing well and has Amazing and several old Fnatic players. And C9 has a really likable group that is getting carried by Hai's shot calling.
Your arguments come across as very bias against NA but I am not sure why. It is pretty obvious that Fnatic has not been performing well in there last matches. I see C9 as underdogs in almost every match and they keep winning. I still think that Fnatic is the stronger team. But we can all ask LDG what being the favorite means when it comes to Worlds.
1 game over 15
remind me darius stats a bit so i can laugh?
the only reason they had darius was because fanatic banned gangplank. you really think the win was determined by who had darius? please.
So much this.
This is the first time Darius has actually done well in the lcs.
It was wrong to pick Yasuo top. Huni did play good but Yasuo isn't good against melees.
I mean..Fnatic wasn't really looking "amazing" or anything.
That game literally just came down to one bad initiation from Fnatic where they didn't lock down the priority targets and Darius got to go crazy, but Fnatic had the lead for so long and they easily could of pushed advantages, but instead they kind of awkwardly wandered around the map, especially Huni who was just farming camps instead of pushing while insanely ahead.
And yet FNC takes the idiot teamfight to get bopped
A lot of people said C9 will lose because they FP Darius.

A lot of people said Gankplank was weak after his rework...
C9 outplayed FNC. Overall they're just a better team tbh.
