Can't whe give zileans E a back in time single target when casting on enemy champions.

To give a example: The enemy jungle goes in for a gank. Than when casting on him, the jungler walks backwards back to the orignal location he was 2 seconds ago. It might be pretty strong for it's mana cost so whe could dubble it when casting it on a enemy champion or even give it an attackspeed boost on ally champions to ballance out the cost.

Where does it say Ekko will have a back in time AoE?

Assume based on the video. His entire kit is build arround time. I would be a big failure if they do less that's expected from the video. And even without Ekko in the mindset. It would still be something unique Zilean could have & actualy deserves for his kit.

Programmatically speaking, it might only be possible to "mark" a target, and then have them return to that point, it'd be easier to reset the CD's of the target (so any spell on CD refreshes, and if timed right, could extend an ulti with a 45 seconds CD to 90) but in reality it shouldn't affect ulti's unless it itself is one.

Simply making the character walk backwards for a few seconds is also possible (not back to original position, but using their current orientation in reverse, like fear but with different visual affect).

Programmatically it's possible to make an AOE effect if you mark every individual target what isn't that hard since their are only 5 champions that you have to loop in. The real question is how it will take for something like this to get progressed since where talking about an online network.

What I was referring to was the idea of hitting a target with a spell and having them reverse their actions, that "assumes" that their actions are ALREADY being recorded for reverse application, which would not already exist, and would have to be implemented Game wide across all targetable objects. It would strain the game to add this much additional short term memory storage. However, if you "mark" a target, you can "Start" recording movements for a specific character or even cluster, and apply the reverse then.

AOE has nothing to do with it, it's just a matter of data storage and retrieving. Adding mechanics that don't follow the current rules of the game requires large overhauls, I can imagine how much trouble Bard's Ulti gave, since it affects objects that otherwise didn't even have spell collision as an option
