Pre-season Placements / Ranked Questions

1. How Hard of a reset was there? I seem to be gaining a ton of LP, More than I've gained in the past during actual seasons. (25-29) Per win.
2. Does this have to do with where I placed LAST Season? Is it this way to make it easier to get back to where I was at ?
3. Has anyone actually been placed higher than Silver 3 so far for your Pre-season placements? I imagine a huge chunk of the community hasn't actually played all 10 yet, but to us who have, where did you end up getting placed?

I'm sorry, I've read a little bit about the changes to ranked, but I can't seem to find any information to help me get the answers I'm looking for? If I'm missing something, I'd appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction, I'm just a little stunned at the fact my MMR seems pretty much flawless, where as at the beginning of season 6, I believe I was only getting 20 LP per win.

I could be wrong though!
