Gunblade Warwick: Dumb or not?

Has anyone ever tried gunblade on Warwick? I did last night as my final item to see if it's that useful because of the extra healing and the hybrid stats. Though honestly there was so much damage and healing late game that I couldn't tell if it was that much of an improvement.

What do you all think?

You only have one skill with an AP ratio. You'll lose the AOE by not going Titanic Hydra or be too squishy if you build both. I suppose you could do as a "fun" build but you're much better off stick to titanic hydra and spirit visage. If you really want the damage and healing then go for a BTRK or even a bloothirster but typically he's just better off going defensive after skirmisher and titanic hydra.

Spirit Visage is also way too good on him to pass up.

Oh I already had titanic and visage. My build was cinderhulk, titanic, Tabi, FH (they had a fed Kled and a decent cleaver Lucian so I felt going AA reduction over crit reduction was better) visage and finally gunblade. I wasn't sure what final item to get so I decided to experiment.

I'd rather just have that new BOTRK instead, with its tiny increase to AS and its damage just feels better in my mind. I understand the healing potential of Gunblade tho, especially with cinderhulk and maybe thornmail.

I wouldn't say it's "bad," necessarily, but I would probably characterize it as "sub-optimal." If you already have Spirit Visage and your other core items done, I'd probably focus a little less on the healing and probably build Guinsoo's instead (noting that it too is "sub-optimal," but slightly preferred). Most likely, Bloodthirster, Death's Dance, or BoRK are your best options if you want a high damage life steal item, and DD is probably lowest on that list unless you need the damage staggering part of it.

I don't think it would be that useful to build gunblade. late game I would rather build a GA or more health (because Warwick's passive healing only kicks in below 50% health).
