I really don't understand the balance methods in this game.
Seriously, if a champion is "uneperforming in high Elo" coughRivencough why don't you slightly nerf the counters to that champion instead of buffing the champion itself? Wouldn't that have the same effect without increasing the damage in the game even more? (Which seems to be the most commonly cited issue with the current state of the game as a whole.)
I refuse to believe that the balance team at Riot is not intelligent enough to come up with this idea on their own, so what is the explanation, aside from "to sell the new Riven skin"?
