This explains why Garen was so powerful

''ZEALOUS PERSECUTION Fixed a bug where Judgment was dealing damage to the Villain equal to 1% of Garen’s Health rather than the Villain’s''

  • Patch 5.19

Huge increase to his damage. Wouldnt be surprised if he needed at least a partial revert of the mobility nerfs after the patch hits live.

So like 3k HP versus 2k HP is like what? 20-30 damage?

Edit: so like a net difference of 10 damage on average?

For all the people saying that this would only account for a small amount of damage, imagine if Jax's leap was accidentally dealing as much as an extra 600 bonus physical damage by late game... Might affect his win rate, yeah?

(rough napkin math: 10 ticks of judgement with one other commenter suggesting that that could be as much as 30 extra damage per tick, doubled for my example being physical damage where Garen's bug affects True damage)

Maybe now he can finally get some power back in other parts of his kit that he lost for the "Villain" system.

This bug fix potentially reduce each tick by about 10 to 20 points of true damage per tick when it comes late game.

His ban rate better go down after this by a decent amount because I hate not playing able to play my main champion in Ranked since Season 3.

Idk... This probably made like a 20 damage difference and the villain dies anyway. Then again, that man spins a lot so who knows lol.

Just ate Garen's R for 1384 true damage. Don't really think this is going to change anything....

I'll believe it was important the moment he stops killing squishy villains as soon as he gets on them anyways.

IMMENSE COURAGE9/30/2015, 8:33:28 AM1 votes

on extremely squishy targets, this probably made spin do 15-20% more of their health than it should have done. but since they're the villain, they'd still probably die either way if they ate a full spin, to garen's ult if not the spin damage itself. it probably isn't really going to make a noticeable difference outside of edge cases.
