No that's what AP supports are. And it's been like for many seasons now with them. Utility supports still build utility items and tanks are still tanky.

Was and still can be used there. Underused doesn't disqualify her.

That I can definitely see. I've only laned with her in the last six months in One for All, where to be fair, she typically does fairly well. I'd have to play her mid for a bit to get a better opinion on her.

Buff ADCs and suddenly "traditional" supports like Janna will come back. That said, I have never seen Vel'koz support at all this season.

At any rate, when ADCs say they feel bad, I point at that supports have been bad enough that matchmaking has even been altered for it! Since Riot seems to flatout refuse to buff supports, we kinda NEED cheesy stuff like Malz, Brand, etc. JUST TO CLIMB OUT OF BRONZE because we get idiots with weak champs like Jinx (that we need to babysit early game)... who are often piloted by people who die outnumbered 3v2 because "I won't die without a kill".

I may not speak for all supports, but frankly, I'm tired of having to rely on others so heavily to climb. Malz/Brand/Zyra/Lux (though let's be honest, Zyra's NOT a midlaner) are good because they STILL HAVE KILL THREAT even if their ADC is braindead retarded. As a support main, I'm feeling that without these champs as they are, I need to learn an entirely new role just to climb to an ELO where I can have some somewhat competant teammates and that shouldn't be the case.
