I like to gank a lot, and it seems that doing a lot of early-game ganks don't seem to pay off unless the jungler gets the kill. I think maybe a new starting item that gives a little bit of extra gold or exp from assists could be REALLY helpful. Maybe it can also be an item that supports can start with too, so that that getting assists doesn't feel as underwhelming as it does currently.
Or would this be OP?

yes. Good idea but it could very, very quickly bring on a meta of level 2 cheese ganks and gank junglers running rampant.

Marshbouy1 votesno. It would still outclass most of the items in league and if it was a support item, some people would just buy it any way and roam hard.
Kaioko1 votesLevel 2 ganks use to actually be very common back in the older seasons and would usually snowball a lane from the beginning. It was a very unhealthy mechanic. I'm not saying your item idea isn't bad, but it definitely needs to be thought through.
