I have literally been stuck in D5 this entire season and watched so many people that were lower than d1 last season out climb me simply because when I win I gain +9 lp and when I lose I get -31

how the fuck is this fair? I can go on a 5 game winning streak and when I lose once its all gone

if its a 50% win ratio THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR LOSING 3.5X WHAT YOU GAIN I DONT HAVE A 15% WIN RATIO OR SOME SHIT

If you win more than 50% of your games, you will eventually break free to the other side.

If you have a plat 3 MMR, are in diamond 5 league, and are winning 50% of your games, the system will behave as you have described it.

If you are winning 55% of your games, you will gradually see the LP +/- balance out, and then you will start to climb.
