You know, I actually would be okay with Hextech Rocketbelt losing the dash active

I'm more interested in having some tankier AP options that don't have me invest in mana. Ap Bruisers like Mordekaiser, Vlad, Rumble and Zac would be really happy about an item that provides decent health, Ap and CDR.

Just my personal opinion^^

EDIT; Since Riot wanted to keep with the elemental Theme with the hextech line (Lightning, Ice and Fire) it would be cool to keep the flaming nova but give it some kind of MR shred instead of a dash.

Seriously, I would like some more items that are tanky and don't give mana for more versatility in his builds.

Except we have an item that provides the exact same stats apart from the 10% CDR that is rarely ever used. item 3151

Just make the active unavailable if your champion has a dash

or just make the dash unavailable you can still shoot firebals but not dash if you already have mobility

Why not give the dash active to another item like item 3151 ? It would have synergy with the Hextech Rocketbelt and would need not one, but two AP/HP items, just to have both actives at the same time, gearing it more towards tanky AP Fighters rather than bursty/long range mages, like both those two items were designed to be for.

Mages in general don't really build Liandry's to begin with, and would give Liandry's more incentive to build it for its current price right now.
