PSA: Don't spam your mastery if you are losing lane

My Sea Cow··2 votes·551 views

I can understand why people do it if they are winning lane but when losing? Is that supposed to make the opponent tilt? Or annoy them? Intimidate me? Or a bad way to bait for a gank? Whats the point?

My last opponent did that and I really don't understand the point...since I was always 20 to 30 farm more then him in lane (he was Heimer...I was melee) and I solo killed him once.

Meh, heimer players are usually just trolls anyway; don't take them seriously.

I mean it should have been a hard match up for me if he was actually good. I had no way to cs from far away and mostly an AA champion. I picked thinking I was facing shen but he ended up going jungle

It's fun to spam a "LOOK HOW GREAT I AM" emote when you're doing terribly.

Pretty much exactly what the 2 who replied said

Honestly I think that emote should be removed. People have shown that they clearly can't handle the power of mastery emote privileges responsibly.

I don't mind the emote but just know why someone would spam it when they doing so bad

There are only two times I'd use it while doing bad.

  1. My opponent was spamming emotes all lane phase, and I finally got revenge on them for it.
  2. I made a play so ungodly bad that using my emote will get everyone a good laugh, since you can use it while dead.

Oh I mean if opponent is spamming then sure by all means. I started spamming laugh but only after he started spamming his mastery. And no ungodly bad plays. I mean he didn't play horribly but just didn't poke me out of lane like he should have or set up his towers effectively to prevent me from farming

They now they are losing lane, so they are trying to taunt you into bad decisions and tilt you.

Honestly this kind of BM should be punishable, it's just so unsportsmanlike...

My Sea Cow1 votes

I don't mind and it doesn't tilt me I just don't see why they do it. I mean mastery is supposed to show their knowledge of the champion. Why would you say "I have x amount of games on him but I can't x"

It's impossible to tell if it's being used to try to tilt the enemy laner or not. Maybe they're using it as a joke.

From the amount of question marks and general sound of this post, it seems like they were successful in the "tilt", "annoy", and "bait" categories. I could be wrong, but if this is because it was done to you, you let it get to you.

My Sea Cow1 votes

No didn't tilt or annoy me in game but I just don't see a point. Always had more farm and more kills and better score at end of game.

What's why I made the post. To me it just seems weird that you'd spam it when you're not doing good in lane

I binded it to every key on my keyboard. Fucking committed. (Okay just qwerdf, too lazy)
