I don't like this new "anti-counter something" design philosophy.

What makes League great and fun is the freedom of gameplay and outplay potential. Introducing certain mechanisms to certain champions will ruin the flow of the game and create rock-paper-scissor situations where A heavily counters B and so on. I am fine with "soft" counters but I'm not fine when it gets pushed heavily on champions to counter other champions.

Consider making more items instead of pushing this nonsense Riot.

The overloading kit of new release/re-releases and the extreme disparity between the power level between League champs have gotten so bad that Riot is now implementing more and more hard countering mechanics to try and fix some of those things and evening the playing field.

That's the rabbit hole we've gone down.

I wouldn't call the newly added mechanics hard counters. They give you a slight edge when facing certain champions, but I feel like already established matchup dynamics and skill should still matter more.

All I can see that they have done is the "soft countering" you apparently approve of. No?

RPS gameplay is the cornerstone of a well balanced system. Sure, you can try and make every champion almost equally viable against every other champion, but then you end up with a lot of characters that feel the same. In a game with mechanics such as true damage, knock-ups, stealths, dashes, and more, you'll never have all champions feel the same, and that means you'll never have all characters balanced in 1v1's. For example, Vayne is always going to counter a Mundo no matter how much you try.

Newflash bud: League was ALL about hard counters before Runes Reforged came in.

It's good that Riot is starting to implement some more things like this, but it barely touches the surface of things needed to be done to get the game back to where it should be.
