So, I'm trying to broaden my champion pool

Currently it looks something like this;

Top: Mordekaiser Nautilus (Yorick ) Jungle: Vi Skarner Nautilus Mid: Viktor Mordekaiser Karthus

Seeing that I want to get some few picks that I could use to counterpick or just pick stuff that benefits my team comp I'd be very much obliged if you could suggest me a few champs.

I usually main Top and Jungle but get to play Mid a ton in my ranked since so many Junglers just queue as mid secondary and don't want to play it at all xD

My brother plays a metric ton of Skarner, and he enjoys Vi and Naut. Due to that, I must suggest Zac since he picked him up a couple months back and loves him just as much. (Never realized how similar your pools were 'till now O.O)

I would recommend trundle, morgana, and jayce, if you are feeling adventurous. All of them can flex (to various degrees) between two of the roles. This rewards continuous play and commitment to learning the champions. Moreover, they all have different builds and play-styles, so you can do a lot of experimenting. Given they all have different builds, you bring an added feature of versatility to any comp you're forming with these picks.

well I'd say maybe some braum for a support just in case you want to do that, but for the jungle try yorick, his ghouls will follow him around and once you get maiden your clear speed is insane plus you have massive objective control.

Personally, my preferred champions look something like the following.

Top: Nasus Irelia Maokai Poppy Sion Singed

Jungle: Udyr Sejuani Gragas Zac Nautilus Hecarim Skarner

Mid: Lux Jayce Swain Orianna

If I had to recommend any one champion who may benefit your pool, I would probably recommend picking up Irelia for the purpose of countering ranged champions in top lane and assassinating the enemy backline.

Alternatively, Jayce, Lux and Ahri are great mid-laners depending on what you want for your team. They are all rather safe and versatile, fit well into most team compositions and have few bad match-ups.

  • Jayce provides a great snowballing potential and poke while filling the niche of an AD mid-laner. He synergizes greatly with armor penetration items (including Youmuu's Ghostblade, Black Cleaver and Lord Dominik's Regards), which lets him handle both squishy and durable targets rather well.
  • Ahri is a mobile kite-oriented mage who possesses CC, waveclear and sustain. She has very few bad match-ups, is great at roaming for kills after level 6 and is very difficult to pin down during teamfights.
  • Lux provides a lot of utility and burst damage while remaining very safe. She is great at teamfighting and sieging, but her dueling potential isn't fantastic.
