@Meddler, can we get some Insight on your stance on Morde?

What's worse than to know your main's being looked at? Not knowing what will happen to him, the uncertainlyT of what's going to happen, the eerie silence, the feeling of dread of the day changes will finally hit the PBE.

I know Halloween's coming up but it would be 2spooky4me if this years scares include the gutting of Mordekaiser. I know you're busy 'cause of worlds and so on but can we get some glimpses of what the future has in store for Mordekaiser? Even if you plan to completely dumpster him I'd rather have the truth (And yes, we can handle the truth!)

I think it's sad, so much Morde hate. I really feel that a lot of players say he is OP without playing him. I mean, when you play a champ, you learn thier weakness and how to play against them. I did that with Yasuo, and now I'm not always dominated in lane.

Anyways, the 3rd Q is the only thing that's OP, and you don't always land it. Having dragon makes Morde strong, but oftentimes the enemy makes sure to take dragon first and gank Morde early. If you can get dragon, it gives Morde a chance to come back from falling behind.

@Malicious Metal, I enjoy your Morde posts and Mordekaiser enthusiasm. Don't stop bro; I like your ideas. You too Raid Boss Morde!

Heck, even if they evenly distribute damage(or nerf) on the 3 q's, but give AoE damage on w solo cast, and buff heal on w, it would be okay for Mordekaiser. Or heck, take off dragon, and just buff Morde himself would be Okay.

I hope we get some feedback. I at least got Riot feedback on my Olaf thread, which was nice to get the info.

The only OP thing is his Q. Everything else is difficult to work with. W's heal is insignifigant in lane, and does no damage in solo lane, or give defensive bufds anymore either. Morde's shield is hardly ever there unless you have CDR, but than you poke yourself to death by running CDR runes.

E does little damage, and you MUST land all 3 Q's to deal any sizeable damage.

Morde is not some super OP killing machine right now. He was in 5.16. Since his recent nerfs, I CANNOT rely on w for damage or a heal. It's all about hitting 3 q's and trying to keep shielded.

Shield does not stay up long at all and Morde is SUPER squishy behind his shield. On top of that he's slow.

Or perhaps I'm not playing him right. I've played him for awhile now, and recently posted a board asking for tips for Morde in Tips and Tricks. No response yet.

Anyways, I hope they do not nerf Morde. I wouldn't mind Morde having DoT solo cast w and a higher skill cap. You know, a kick ass champ that takes skill to play, like Draven, or Yasuo.

I LOVE the theme on Mordekaiser that you must damage with abilities to gain shield, and think the challege to land 3 q's for that 3rd q burst is very fun and challenging, considering his speed.

They should buff his shield, buff w, but raise his skill cap signifigantly.

His w healing sucks versus minions and you'll never get the best out of it since you won't be able to walk up to two champions without retaliation. His E lost a lot of power and his passive doesn't fill as quickly. So yes, without a clone he's pretty "meh" outside of the occasional Q3

Because thats the only thing that keeps him viable bot lane and thats what Riot and CertainlyT want. They want to force him to go bot no matter what and win even if it means giving him the most bullshit unfair advantage ever.

The idea of a bot lane melee juggernaut-carry is something I really like.

But they REALLY picked the WRONG guy to fill the role. (which would by why the had to give him such gimmiks in the first place.)

This is actually the second time CerT has tried to make a melee bot lane carry. The first attempt was Yasuo . Then CerT discovered that if you make a champ's kit loaded enough to survive a marksman/support ranged beatdown, but don't force the champ in bot lane, they'll just go mid or top and utterly dominate any one opponent since the kit is tuned to deal with two.

That's why Morde has the stupid W passive, it's the only thing keeping him bot lane. And if Morde isn't taken bot lane, CerT will have failed twice in a row. And if CerT fails, he'll release all the blackmail he's collected on the balance team that's been keeping them from toning down his champions.

Honestly, I think they picked the right guy. Mordekaiser had the ability to be a bot lane carry pre-rework and it should not have been too hard to make that a more viable option.

Yeah, the exp passive tends to piss off my teammates. I personally like the dragon ghost a lot, but would be willing to sacrifice it for buffs to Morde himself as well as DoT AoE on w at all times, solo and duo casted. Keep q and E the same; we just need the w to deal damage to even survive when left alone as Mordekaiser. I mean Morde is immobile and squishy. He is supposed to be strong up close. Isk why people don't get that. Just cc him and range damage him. It's an easy killing tactic. Also wait for his shield to go down, which isn't hard, and take him out fast since Morde is SUPER SQUISHY, slow, and has awful attack speed.

I really hope a rioter sees and replies to this board. Having an idea of what is in store for Morde would be wonderful.

and as if dragon clone wasn't ridiculous enough, he can send it to zone/smack down mid or bot tower while he is in base buying. WHYYYYY

That picture cannot be anymore accurate of what has been going on with Morde right now makes my huert burst in sadness. But the Mordekaiser mains will remember such as the Cass mains, Karma mains, and Ryze mains. We will never forget them, their legacy will live on as we fight for the Iron Man with our every last breath. CertainlyT and Riot won't get away with these crimes.

Let's not forget, Morde is supposed to be a slow moving, DREAD WRAITH OF DEATH, that has absolutly no cc, and is easily cc'd, with a high damage output to compensate.

I don't know why people want a super slow, super squishy, no cc champion with one of the worst armor stats in the game to do little damage. It makes no sense, and would be more than unfair to further nerf Morde in his current form. Rather, his damage should be more spread out an accsessable, even solo.

On top of that, a lot of people say Mordekaiser is tanky. Whaaaat? Morde is extremly squishy AND slow. His shield isn't up enough to be "tanky", partially due to slow attack speed, and the nerfed w damage, especcially when alone.

It is so fustrating to see people say Morde is impossibly OP, when they don't even know his weaknesses. People think, oh, here's a slow champ, its a free kill, than get upset when they underestimate him and let him land third q. It's like, all the other person sees is, he does burst q damage, and has a type of small shield and freak out.

I hope Mordekaiser doesn't get Olaf'd. :(

Exactly, most of my frustration about the rework comes from how unimpactful most of his abilities feel. Especially his shield o_O He already had bad base stats but as a compensation he had a powerful shield to make up for his lack of stats, mobility and cc. Nowadays it feels like they should rename it to "Tin Man" instead of "IRON MAN".

He's by far the least tanky juggernaut sitting at a measly 20 base armor and 1765 base health at level 18.

He's got the potential to be the perfect Juggernaut being a champ with no CC/Mobility but the setup for a powerful kit with enough durability and damage ti truly fill the role of the Murder Emperor.

never said I dont care about mord. My entire post was about be seeing the same post by the same poster every 8 or so hours. I get it Malicious Metal mains mord man who would of thought with a name like that? Just stopping by to give a bit of an opinion, Morde is primarily a bot laner now right? To be honest I think they're not going to really gut him, maybe make some of his numbers slightly weaker ala Vayne nerf, but other than that I don't think it's too unlikely for them to keep him as is until the Marksman update. The Marksman update will completely shake up bot lane with all of the changes, and it wouldn't surprise me if they want to get some data from that before changing up Morde.

What?? Not at all! He just needs better balancing. Lower q, allow w self cast damage, I mean NICE damage, not the reactivate damage bs that doesn't do much. Slightly buff e damage, nerf dragon gain stats from dragon ghost(not champions) and Morde will be viable in any lane, without people wtfing about his kick ass Q. I love the q, but would give its power for a stronger w and e instead.

Also, Morde's shield sucks atm

Is there even a visual on Morde's empowered Q? Seems like Riot overlooked it, I haven't seen Morde in awhile due to permabanned status but maybe if they just show when his 3rd q is up then there's more room for counter play.
