This was the gold lead throughout the entire game. My top and bot lane were being destroyed, almost single-handedly by their respective lane opponents. The only notable thing that Maokai did throughout the entire early/mid game was scoring first blood on my top laner after he overextended to try and score a kill on Akali. After that he had little to no impact on the game.

We were basically forced to play from behind since the very start and I often had to skip jungle camps in order to rescue my teammates or help them secure a kill, slowly building our lead. We were facing Zilean and Maokai, so I knew I couldn't solo carry the game and had to help my allies catch-up with gold and xp, even by letting them have some of my jungle camps. There was no way for me to end the game sooner.
