I miss reporting players for "unskilled"

Maybe it didn't have any effect, but it relieved some stress. Kinda tired of seeing people repeatedly jumping in the middle of the enemy team and dying in a 1v5. It's ok if you do it once or twice, but after that it looks like you're trying to lose the game on purpose.

Actually, the "Unskilled" report category did have a minor effect on matchmaking if I remember correctly. It wasn't a good system in the first place. If you need ways to vent, might I recommend screaming at your computer or going and getting some exercise? I use both, and they've always been helpful.

P.S. Please don't take the "get exercise" thing as an insult. It's just what I do when I'm frustrated at anything.

There is a report system for that...its called telling them "you suck" and you get banned for it. It's actually pretty intuitive and has a great impact and success rate...

If my memory doesn't fail; I'm pretty sure Riot outright stated that it did nothing.

Problem was, people would come on forum and cry how people they report for unskilled arent getting punished. They didnt understand it was placebo effect. So it just got removed.

The report system is there to punish people for unacceptable behaviour, such as cheating, racism, bullying, etc. Just being unskilled shouldn't be a reason to report, it only encouraged people to report others as punishment for doing bad in a game.

Not to mention, it's not fair to make such a report when you're likely only going to be paired with him/her the once.

So you miss wasting time on a useless report that went straight to the Recycle Bin?

Egomaniacs are great!

DeynaTaggerung2/5/2016, 8:21:37 PM3 votes

Haha I kind of do too. I actually loved the fact that I had a report option that didn't actually have any real effect on them, so I could click it without having to worry about accusing someone that's probably actually innocent.

I guess it was just too much of a clarity issue because a lot of people assumed being unskilled was a bannable offense :/

Radioactive Man2/5/2016, 9:27:34 PM2 votes

You do know that was meant as a trap and people that used it a lot had their other reports ignored right?

I think it's funny that we always see people complaining about being banned for being toxic. Atleast we know toxic bahavior can be ban worthy. I've yet to see somebody complain about being banned for feeding. whats that say about the "intentionally feeding" report? people know they can get away with it by saying "oh sorry guys, i'm trying"

Daxterr2/6/2016, 9:29:06 PM2 votes

I'm sorry but there's a difference between intentional feeding and being unskilled. It's usually pretty obvious when someone is actively trying to lose the game. Reporting for unskilled however was always a stupid idea and if the MMR system works at all there should be no need to do it.

The circle jerking is real. They need to end reporting all together. It does nothing but promote toxic cry teens to never stfu. MOVE ON.

here's what u do. check the box for cheating/unapproved 3rd party programs and type "boosted" in the description box lmao

siilentdeath2/7/2016, 1:51:07 AM1 votes

doing it more than 2 times is intentional feeding. so you can still report it. if the same player keeps doing the same action its an intentional action. accidentally doing it would imply them only doing it once.

DeloricVI2/7/2016, 2:08:33 AM1 votes

I feel like the lack of the option encourages people to report for trolling/intentional feeding instead. Either it wastes the time of the people who oversee these claims, or gets people banned unnecessarily if said people fuck up. :/

Krigjer2/7/2016, 2:59:28 AM1 votes

I don't understand how you can KNOW performing an action does nothing (reporting for unskilled causes no action against the player) and yet it still relieves your stress?

ImperialKain2/7/2016, 3:49:14 AM1 votes

You know. I only reporting one player for this in ARAM..... A Katarina that built the old item 3508. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Unskilled should of had the ability of requiring players to win 10 bot games to go back to play ranks if enough people reported them for that.

ButtheCatCameBak2/6/2016, 12:04:16 AM1 votes

Six games in a row of 3 intentional double digit feeders. thumbs up gj Riot.

Wait, sorry 7 games.

I wish they would bring it back, affect their matchmaking, make it be with people of their own category of skill. It really piffs me off because during the preseason, i got gold 5 as my rank. I started getting matched with people with about 500-700 wins and I would loose almost every game. After maybe, 60 goddamn games, i finally started getting placed with people at my own win rate.

ur bronze. u have no right to talk

KitsuneTrickster2/6/2016, 5:27:46 PM1 votes

If they are jumping into a 1v5, they are trolling and assisting enemy team.
