We all know that, in her regular lore, is a faithful priestess of Nagakabouros that wholeheartedly embodies and preaches the teachings of her religion. Deep Space Illaoi completely turns that theme on its head, giving it a new horrifying spin: the priestess that once spread her truth through faith has now become a knowledge-seeking space explorer who was contaminated by a Dead Space-like alien creature and is now being mind-controlled by it in order to spread the infection. On top of that, we already have a space skin, Astro, that could be beautifully incorporated in the new lore: "unwilling to abandon his fellow astronaut Illaoi, who fell to the infection, Nautilus keeps fighting against the space parasyte in order to find a cure" (which would be an ironic parallel to Nautilus' regular lore, where he got corrupted by a dark entity and left for dead by his own crew).

Deep Space Illaoi would go well with Deep Space Veigar, both embued by the infection of the Deep and unknowable parts of space.

This skin line has more potential to add to the Austronaut theme that was barely expanded.

Battlecast has the best Illaoi model, and therefore took my vote. Deep Space's tentacles look great, but the model looks terrible... Adventurer is my 2nd pick. It's fresh, and new :)

An aspect thus far forgotten by many, and a VERY good reason go support Deep Space, is the potential for Chromas. Deep Space is a PERFECT palette for color swaps, both the space suit and the alien ichor. Battle cast? Would be a couple different metal tones without major contrast. Adventurer? You might be able to do a small variety of color swaps on the outfit, but the vines? Deep Space has the best visual pop because of the contrasts of colors.
