I'd like a dev blog on Riots thoughts on mobility.

It feels like mobility is as important now as it's ever been.

I'd like to see Riots thoughts on mobility in the current game and their plans for it in the future.

Imo, riot is giving mobility out too often to new champions and reworked champions to the point where riot has to buff immobile champs for them to be viable (nauses, cho gath). Mobility just seems like its essential to play in this meta and if you dont have it; your gona have a rough time.

mobility is not the reason these champs need adjustments

Damage creep+CC creep+mobility creep, in descending order of significance.

Champions without mobility have gotten ridiculous compensations, since the damage creep and the cc creep mean they usually can't reach the backline alive anymore.

(and I hate that)

Nerfs. Please let it be nerfs

Agreed. I'd like to know how mobility is factored into overall champ powerlevel because it seems severely unaccounted for.

I'd rather a dev talk about game direction.

I'd like to know when cognitive skill will be re-introduced

Extremely high burst or utility>mobility

ALWAYS.

Taliyah has a giant mapwide mobility spell. Why would you include her here?

Penns1 votes

Because for me "mobility" is in-combat. Most people that talk about immobile mages include TF and Taliyah.

Well if the new Channel Flash rune they showed off is anything to go by, seems like they are only planning on increasing mobility.

Its mostly intended to make more junglers viable because junglers need some kind of terrain scaling.

That only really effects out of combat mobility and only useful going over walls. No one would ever channel for 2.5 seconds mid fight for a short blink.

It still makes escapes more feasible and allows for faster travel between lanes and objectives.

Mobility needs to come at a far higher cost, especially for manaless champions. Making them tire out (like for Blitzcrank after using his W) would be one way to do this. It feels terrible being an immobile champion in this day and age with countless champs having access to hard cc and insane mobility, it's extremely unforgiving.

I would like MissFortune to move with her ult please and thank you @Riot

Riot's response has generally been to give anyone lacking mobility something absolutely absurd to compensate.

What's worried me about the state of mobility recently isn't really how it's been handed out to new champions (Rakan is hypermobile, for example, but that's fine because doing so on a support is fresh and interesting), but rather how it's been given to older champions on their kits, namely on Galio and Urgot. Galio especially was a champion with a very strong lack of mobility, and now he has two dashes, including a super-long-ranged dash on ult that so many champions have already in some form or another.

Urgot technically had a gapcloser before, but it was on his ult and really did not focus on giving him mobility, as its channel was long enough to let you move to the location you'd end up in at approximately the same time if you had just walked there. Giving him a dash on a basic ability may have had some thematic link to his past kit, but in practice did constitute an increase in mobility overall, in spite of his self-slow on W. Additionally, his rework made him a full-on juggernaut, when one of the defining features of the class is that it has some of the lowest mobility in the game. While juggernauts as a whole do need more options than they currently have, it worries me that Riot resorted to a gapcloser to make Urgot work, as it raises the possibility of other old juggernauts also getting mobility tacked onto their kits when they really, really shouldn't have any kind of burst repositioning. Urgot's dash already looks fairly goofy and ill-suited, and I absolutely do not want to see the same thing get handed out to the likes of Garen, Nasus or Mordekaiser.

There have also been past instances of mobility getting added to champion kits before this. Olaf, for example, initially had no mobility on his kit, but was given a personal Righteous Glory-style movespeed boost on his ult just to make him more functional, and that was enough to make Riot switch denominations for him from a juggernaut to a diver (which I think is bogus, but that's another matter). All too often, mobility has been given out to champions, especially melee champions, just because the lack of it makes designing and balancing them too difficult, but each addition of mobility also creates an environment that revolves around the feature even more, punishing champions without it, or with low amounts of it, even harder than before. I feel it's had a huge limiting effect on design, and has forced changes to happen to older champions that should not have needed to occur in the first place.
