First time ever in Gold Promos

I actually made it. I've consistently buried my toxicity, played the same 3 champions in the same position, learned csing better, map awareness better, objectives, enemy jungler tracking, all of it. Not perfectly, but a lot better all around.

I made it here with a 50/50 to 40/50 LP gain/loss ratio. 500 ish wins, 550 ish losses. I had to repair that from like 14+ and 18- earlier this year...

I am 3 wins away from Gold, for the first time in YEARS of trying and trying and fucking trying. I'm about to take like a week break to let my nerves settle.

What should I do from here? Promos are where I ALWAYS get the worst teammates while the enemy is in perfect sync and they are more often than not blow outs in their favor. I've been to Silver 1 6 times this year, and more times Silver 2 and below. I'm an emotional wreck that I might FINALLY get Gold.

You should get a good duo q partner. Mute all and play the game. Make sure to play your promos in your best conditions. Good SLeep, happy stomach, good weather, etc. Taking a week break is not a good idea, cuz your gonna need to get back into groove of playing rank games. New patches means new changes so you would have to adjust to the changes.

Most importantly thing is to mute all and play your best. Do not get tilted when you lose. Never play when your in a bad mood or if your tilted. Thats given but you be suprise how many people just push it through keep telling them self that they are fine. best of luck.

Get a duo partner.

Stay calm and treat them like any other game. If you tilt after a regular loss, don't que up after a promo loss. Trying to Play differently from whats gotten you to that point is a mistake. Treat it the same as any other match. Ignore the X out of 5 count completely.

Promos serve to slow "lucky" streaks and also give the system extra time to dial in on an accounts MMR range. They also make players feel "pressure" and have a High Stake mentality.

MMR is what matters thou. Just play well and consistent.

I have made an alt account and leveled it from Bronze 1 to Silver 1 and did this with out passing a single promotional game. MMR is what matters, Promos are a distraction. Dodging lobby during promo fails it. I have done this every time on this alt account to test what the MMR catchup looks like.

I been there. Just play the games and get it over with. Either you get it or you don't and that's not going to change a week from now. The suspense of not knowing is more frustrating than knowing once and for all, regardless of the outcome.

Good luck.

dw, u will meet 95% winrate smurfs on the enemy team in the first promos, and the 2nd promo u will get an afk top laner who ragequits, and then you will win 2 games, only to be 1 win away, only to be autofilled into a role you never play and watch your team feed.

It's crazy, it's like you were right there for MY 1st ever gold promos a few weeks ago. [sg-janna]

You are making it a bigger deal than it actually is. Just play the game. Play it soon. If you wait too long then fail, you won't have enough time to make it to gold before the season ends. Just keep grinding until you ACTUALLY make it.
