Why the FF system is broken for DC games
Plain and simple, for a normal game with no DC's it's fine. Should stay at 4-1 or 5-0 and 20 minutes is good too. No problem there.
For DC games it sucks. An afk from the start makes you waste 20 minutes of time at least. Yes I now you can win a 4v5. Yes I have done it before. Yes it may still be fun. But tell your ADC with an afk support, or the mid laner who is getting camped when our jungle is afk that the game can be just as fun. It almost never is.
There should be a feature where if someone is DC'd for say (throwing this out there) 10 minutes then you can start the surrender vote early. Maybe have a counter tallying total DC time.
Also, too much trolling with people not surrendering in there scenarios. And YES I am occasionally the one who says no because I want to practice my champ or I actually am somehow having fun. I'm not suggesting 2-2 should be a successful vote, but I don't know if there can be anything to remedy this. Maybe just let people leave at some point but that probably won't work with all the variables involved. Probably nothing we can do here.
I don't even like to play a 5v4 when the other team has a DC. Try to see it from m perspective (and I am sure I'm not the only one this describes). Basically, I get to play about a game or two a day tops with my schedule. I have a full time job, a wife, and kid so time to relax is at a premium and I don't like to squander it. It helps me unwind and "get away" so to speak when I can indulge in a game. I really hate being forced to run around on the screen in a useless 4v5 just so I am not "leaver busted" and scolded and potentially banned, especially when an early FF may give me the time to play another quick ARAM or something.
I know I am coming off a little salty. It is what it is. Doesn't seem like an impossible fix to me.
