Increasing the Number of Bans
After looking around I have found that riot's refusal or neglect, which I can't decide, to up the number of bans is rather interesting.
With 126 Champions the current amount of bans at 6 allows any player to ban out just 4.76% of the total champion pool. That is a pretty small number and given recent gameplay updates, there are almost always guaranteed bans. Of course there are always those types of bans but that's beside the point. Granted this will make banning a much longer process but I think it would be worth it.
What I also think is that the number needs to be increased to 8 or possibly 10, allowing a ban of 6.35% and 7.95% respectively. This however also increases the amount of champions that a player needs to solo queue up to at least 18 or 20 which will prevent them from getting into ranked. On the flip side of this however is it might allow them to get better with their champs, get better ruins, or find their favorite roles. And get champs that are good in all lanes.
Allow 10 bans will greatly increase time, and require some form of interface redesign because you can fit 8 into the box with no alterations. Maybe a decrease in the time allowed for bans can also be an option.
I think that personally it should be increased to 10 because while this will hurt new players, it will also help everyone diversify the champions that they play not only in their main role(s), but also making them increase their champion pool for everyone. I will also see the number increase to 8 and be happy with it but I think that 6 is just too few in the current game, especially with the rate riot has been releasing champs. 6 in 2014 and 3 so far this year with another on the way, and possibly another.
I just wanted to post this to get some feedback.
On a side note I will never be buying satan. He will forever sit in the store for me.
