Give Shen his old Q back

It had far more utility to himself and his team.

They specifically mention that Vorpal blade was an issue/out of place on his old kit when they reworked him. It’s not coming back.

It's stronger now though. The heal his old Q had wasn't that good anyway

Stronger perhaps in single-target dueling situations, but it's a lot more clunky, less useful in team fights, and Shen no longer has a harassment/poke tool, nor anything to help him when he's getting zoned.

So no, it isn't really that much stronger and the old Q also made Spirit Visage a much more viable item on him.

Yes. That’s kinda the point. He already has massive team fight utility from a map wide teleport with a shield, a multiman taunt, and then a dodge field. His Q is to help him split push and wave clear (more damage). He’s not supposed to be able to deal with lane bullies, as those are his intended weakness.

I'm not much of a Shen enthusiast (neither old nor new), but wasn't his old Q just some point-and-click negligible bit of damage with negligible healing? I could understand if you wanted his current Q replaced, but what makes you want something so uninteractive, visually bland and lacking in power to come back?

His Q marked a target and allowed him or an ally to regenerate a percentage of Shen's maximum health. In the late game, if Shen marked a bruiser, or tank, this allowed any champ with enough attack speed on his team to outsustain whoever they were fighting. This was also highly useful when doing baron, leashing, or helping to keep a squishy target alive.

It also let him sustain himself in lane since he didn't have much in the way of damage beyond his the targeting portion of his Q and his Ki strike.
