Horror themed Volibear Is Better: Bring It Back, Or At Least Do Something For The Fans Who Loved It

Horror-themed Volibear is unique, original, and a more interesting gameplay experience. If you're not going to go with this theme you should at least make a skin to honor what a lot of people obviously thought was a cool idea, on top of being one that was completely unexpected.

Or better yet, make it a legendary skin. If the new Volibear is going to be a God of Thunder, why not make the horror-themed Volibear a version of the character that has become corrupt, possessed, consumed, etc.

Indeed, the lovecraftian story we received earlier in the year surpassed any expectations I had for a voli rework. It felt fresh and new. Now he's just another generic character in the long list of generic champions. oNlY sHadOw iSLanDs cAN Be sPoOky. Great job Riot.

Agreed, the theme of a primal, frightening and brutal deity with dark imagery of followers "lost to the darker aspects of nature" was awesome. Him being an "honorable warrior bear" is basically no longer Volibear's personality with how his lore was reworked. He is brutal now, saying that's "just how the people in the story saw him" is WAY too much of a disconnect. If people see him as a murderous, rage filled beast and he is worshiped and feared as such throughout the Freljord, how much different are you gonna make his "actual" personality be? That doesn't really work well.

You know what is funny? Volibear already has skin called "Thunder Lord"... With rework they could update him to be primal-eldricht-bear and remake this skin into "classical" Voli.

I usually play only cute/girly champs, but i think i can't complain about the kawaii champ pool: we have plenty of them. So, we dont need a teddy bear, like the new concept, and they could try something more...extreme!

Unfortunately a big chunk of his playerbase just want to have a bipedal bear with some blue tattoos. The latest design was really poor in my opinion. It felt even more hollow than his current art. I'm not a fan of him becoming a tentacle bear, but I also wanted to see a compromise between his regal and horrific sides

I think the skin idea is a great idea to bring it to life. I’m personally more of a fan of the silly rawring armoured bear than the monstrous god of lightning.

How about making it the Thunder Lord skin. With his rework that skin kinda loses it's meaning.. and they showed how they can make a trash skin into something like Infernal Akali.
