The Support Class - A Side By Side Comparison

Riot claims they care about clarity, yet the site's champion information is severely incomplete, particularly it doesn't include cooldowns, passives lack detailed information, scalings are often missing. In addition, they speak down to us as the players, they talk about "internal tests," but refuse to give us detailed information and don't care about what we the players say.

Having said my peace, I've been wanting to do comparisons amongst support champs. For supports, early game is the most important and thus it's necessary to compare rank 1 and level 3.

Damage: Alistar: P - 10-30 Dmg, 125 Rng; Q - 60 Dmg, 365 Rng, 65 Mana, 17 CD; W - 55 Dmg, 650 Rng, 65 Mana, 14 CD; Ttl Dmg - 125-145 Annie: Q - 80 Dmg, 625 Rng, 60 Mana, 4 CD; W - 70 Dmg, 625 Rng, 70 Mana, 8 CD; E - 20xN Dmg, 20 Mana, 10 CD; Ttl Dmg - 150+ Braum: P - 54 Dmg, 6 CD; Q - 60 Dmg, 1k Rng, 55 Mana, 10 CD; Ttl Dmg - 114 Janna: Q - 60-105 Dmg, 1.1-1.7k Rng, 90 Mana, 14 CD; W - 60 Dmg, 600 Rng, 40 Mana, 12 CD; E - 14 AD, 600 Rng, 40 Mana, 12 CD; Ttl Dmg - 120-165+14 AD Karma: R - 25-75 Dmg; Q - 80 Dmg, 950 Rng, 50 Mana, 7 CD; 60 Dmg, 675 Rng, 70 Mana, 16 CD; Ttl Dmg - 165-215 Leona: P - 35 Dmg; Q - 40 Dmg, 45 Mana, 11 CD; W - 60 Dmg, 275 Rng, 60 Mana, 14 CD; E - 60 Dmg, 875 Rng, 60 Mana, 13 CD; Ttl Dmg - 195-265 Lulu: P - 21 Dmg, ~550 Rng; Q - 80 Dmg, ~925-1575 Rng, 60 Mana, 7 CD; E - 80 Dmg, 650 Rng, 60 Mana, 10 CD; Ttl Dmg - ~181 Morgana: Q - 80 Dmg, 1175 Rng, 50 Mana, 11 CD; W - 12-180 Dmg, 900 Rng, 70 Mana, 10 CD; Ttl Dmg - 128-260 Nami: Q - 75 Dmg, 875 Rng, 60 Mana, 14 CD; W - 70 Dmg, 725 Rng, 70 Mana, 10 CD; E - 25-75 Dmg, ~550 Rng, 55 Mana, 11 CD; Ttl Dmg - 170-220 Sona: P - 27-41 Dmg, 550 Rng; Q - 40-80 Dmg, 700-~550 Rng, 45 Mana, 8 CD; Ttl Dmg - 67-121 Soraka: Q - 70-105 Dmg, 970 Rng, 70 Mana, 7 CD; 70-140 Dmg, 925 Rng, 70 Mana, 24 CD; Ttl Dmg - 140-245 Taric: P - 6+ Dmg, 125 Rng; W - 46+ Dmg, 200 Rng, 50 Mana, 10 CD; E - 40-80 Dmg, 625 Rng, 75 Mana, 18 CD; Ttl Dmg - 92-132+ Thresh: Q - 80 Dmg, 1.1k Rng, 80 Mana, 20 CD; E - 65 Dmg, 400 Rng, 60 Mana, 9 CD; Ttl Dmg - 145 Zilean: Q - 90 Dmg, 700 Rng, 70 Mana, 10 CD; W - 90 Dmg, 700 Rng, 120 Mana, 18 CD; Ttl Dmg - 180 Zyra: Q - 70 Dmg, 800 Rng, 75 Mana, 7 CD; W - 20xN Dmg, 800-1.1k Rng, 16 CD; E - 60 Dmg, 1.1k Rng, 70 Mana, 12 CD; Ttl Dmg - 140+

Summay: Leona has the highest damage-ouput amongst the support class both in min and mix, with her closest rivals being Morgana and Nami. The absolute lowest amongst damage goes to Sona, the only support with a min falling well below 100 damage, she has the lowest max barely 2nd to Braum, her max is so low it only beats out 2 champs' mins. For necessity, all damage is based on single-target output, but include ally participation, some champs like Soraka or Zilean are toxic for multi-target potential.

Healing: None: Annie, Janna, Lulu, Zilean, Zyra Relic Shield: Alistar, Braum, Leona, Taric, Thresh: 40 HP (self+ally), 60 CD; Ttl HP - 80 Alistar: E - 60-90 (self[+ally]), 575 Rng, 40 Mana, 12 CD- Karma: R - 20-40% missing HP (self), 675 Range, 70 Mana, 45 CD Morgana: P - 10% spellvamp (self) Nami: W - 65-112 HP (self and/or ally), 725 Rng, 70 Mana, 10 CD Sona: W - 30+ HP (self+ally), 1k Rng, 80 Mana, 10 CD; Ttl HP - 60+ Soraka: Q - 25+ HP (self), 970 Rng, 70 Mana, 7 CD; W - 120 HP (ally), 550 Rng, 20 Mana, -10% max-HP, 4 CD; Ttl HP - 145+ Taric: Q - 60 (ally) or 84 (self), 750 Rng, 60 Mana, 18 CD

Sumarry: Nami is the most efficient of the 5 actual sustain supports, she heals her ally for the same as Taric, but has lower CD and more than double's Sona's healing. With well positioning, she can heal both herself and the ADC for 65+47 respectively. Soraka heals her ally for double Nami, but costs self-HP and her self-healing is as abysmal as Sona's. Taric can heal either himself or his ally for more than Sona's combined heal and lower its CD for each proc of his passive, all whilst utilizing Relic Shield. Alistar heals himself for double of Sona and his ally for an equal amount to her all for half the cost and a self-lowering CD making it spammable and is also a Relic Shield-user. Sona has absolutely the lowest healing, tied with Soraka for self-healing and Alistar for ally-healing, whilst simultaneously suffering from the unrivaled highest mana cost.

Shields: None: Alistar, Nami, Soraka, Zilean, Zyra Annie: E - 20 Def (self), 5 Dur, 20 Mana, 10 CD Braum: W - 15-30 Def (self[+ally]), 3 Dur, 625 Rng, 50 Mana, 14 CD; W - 100-30% Def (self+ally), 3 Dur, 30 Mana, 18 CD Janna: E - 80 HP, 5 Dur, 600 Rng, 40 Mana, 10 CD Karma: E - 80 HP, 4 Dur, 800 Rng, 60 Mana, 10 CD Leona: W - 20 Def (self), 3-6 Dur, 60 Mana, 14 CD Lulu: W - 80 HP, 6 Dur, 650 Rng, 60 Mana, 10 CD Morgana: E - 70 MHP, CC Immunity, 5 Dur, 750 Rng, 55 Mana, 23 CD Sona: W - 35-70 HP (self[+ally]), 1.5 Dur, 350 Rng, 80 Mana, 10 CD Taric: W - 10 Ar (self), 5-4 Ar (ally), Perma-Dur, 500 Rng, 10 CD Thresh: W - 60-120 HP (self[+ally]), 4 Dur, 950 Rng, 50 Mana, 22 CD

Summary: Braum has the best defensive kit, with 2 abilities to every other supports' singular. Additionally, the combined def. buff is the strongest for its duration, whilst E blocking a full projectile whilst intercepting and reducing all others completely out-scales any HP-based shield. Self-defense sits at +20 Def, whereas Taric's is a combined 15, but remains permanent. Morgana's is niche in that it grants CC-immunity and will thus always be viable. Every other single-target shield is 80 HP and with the 2 AoE shields, Thresh's is nearly double of Sona's. Speaking of Sona, she has the worst shield: the combined HP is lower than single-target shields, the duration is AT MOST half of any other if not much shorter and once again she has the highest mana cost all whilst being the shortest-range ability amongst the entire class by a very large discrepancy.

Mobility: None: Annie, Morgana, Taric, Zyra Alistar: W - 650 Rng Self-Dash Towards Enemy Braum: W - 625 Rng Self-Dash Towards Ally Janna: P - 5% MS, 1k Rng Perma-Aura; 4% MS Self Perma Karma: E - 40% MS, 1.5 Dur, Single, 800 Rng; R - 60% MS, 1.5 Dur, AoE, 600 Rng Leona: E - 875 Self-Dash Towards Enemy Lulu: W - 30% MS, 3 Dur, 650 Rng Nami: P - 40 MS, 1.5 Dur, ~875 Rng Sona: E - 13-10% MS, 1.5 Dur, 350 Rng, AoE Soraka: P - 70% MS Towards Injured Ally, 2.5k Rng Thresh: Q - 1.1k Rng Self-Dash Towards Enemy; W - 950 Rng Ally-Dash to Self Zilean: 55% MS, 2.5 Dur, 900 Rng

Summary: Every non-Taric tank can dash to the enemy, except Braum who still dashes to an ally. Thresh is the only support that can pull an ally to himself. Zilean gives the largest boost given to an ally whilst Sona gives the lowest, even lower than Nami's flat 40. The longest range goes to Thresh at 1100 on his engage and 950 on disengage, thrice of Sona's who falls all the way down to barely more than half those around the 2nd lowest. Putting Sona into a bottom-level tier all her own, she is the most immobile amongst the class.

Crowd Control: Alistar: Q - 1 Sec KU, .2 Sec Stun, 365 Rng; W - 650 Rng KB Annie: P - 1.25 Sec Stun, 625 Rng Braum: P - 1.25 Sec Stun; Q - 70% Slow, 2 Dur, 1k Rng Janna: Q - .5-1.25 Sec KU, 1.1-1.7k Rng; W - 24% Slow, 3 Dur, 600 Rng Karma: Q - 25% Slow, 1.5 Dur, 950 Rng; W - 1 Sec Root, 675 Rng Leona: Q - 1.25 Sec Stun; 875 Rng Root Lulu: Q - 80% Slow, 1 Dur, ~925-1575 Rng; W - 1.25 Sec Fuzzy Morgana: Q - 2 Sec Root, 1175 Rng Nami: Q - 1.5 Sec KU, 875 Rng; E - 15% Slow, 1-3 Dur, ~550 Rng Sona: P - 40% Slow, 2 Dur, 550 Rng Soraka: Q - 30% Slow, 2 Dur, 970 Rng; E - 1 Sec Root, 925 Rng Taric: E - 1.2 Sec Stun, 625 Rng Thresh: Q - 1.5 Sec Stun, 1.1k Rng; E - KB, 1 Sec 20% Slow, 400 Rng Zilean: E - 55% Slow, 2.5 Dur, 700 Rng Zyra: W - 30% Slow, 2 Dur; E - .75 Sec Root, 1.1k Rng

Summary: Every support in the game has a form of hard CC except Sona and Zilean and then Zilean's slow is stronger, has longer duration and greater range, whilst being more easily available as well. Additionally, Annie, Morgana and Taric only have 1 CC ability and the rest all have 2. Morgana has the longest duration on hard CC at 2 seconds, whilst Nami and Thresh are 2nd with 1.5 seconds. Morgana and Thresh also have the greatest range at 1175 and 1.1k respectively. Nami also has the potential for lengthiest slow of up to 3 seconds, Zilean makes up for lack of hard CC by being the longest guaranteed slow at 2.5 seconds.

In conclusion, you'll note that the names that repeatedly appear at the top of these categories also happened to be considered the strongest supports at some point this season. Thresh, Morgana and Nami are all noteworthy in more than 1 category apiece. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sona falls into dead-last place in every single category with Taric and Soraka being close behind. No propaganda, no hard math, no opinions, just pure statistics straight from the game itself.

So either I'm a God Support or these statistics are wrong, because losing as Sona for me takes quite a bit of effort from the enemy.

Legostrike6 votes

Why am I downvoted? Seriously, go check my stats.

(yes, that is a bloodthirster on a Sona, that game was ridiculous).

I'm pointing out that the guy is claiming that the statistics prove Sona is one of the worst supports, yet for some reason, as a bronze player, I'm doing bloody well fine with her. My experience completely contradicts his 'Statistics'. "There are lies, damnable lies, and statistics" - Mark Twain.

Emmy Cha0s3 votes

as a bronze player,

You just absolutely discredited everything you say, said and will say.

My association with you is over, you have defeated yourself. It wasn't even necessary for me to make any sort of effort. I feel a sense of... emptiness knowing it was not me who won, but rather you who lost.

And you are lvl 8... your point? :P

Lets face it, riot has a great game here, but the support aspect (support champs and play style) is the weakest both in design and game-play.

FantasySniper2 votes

I think that's because the role of supporting can be filled by several different things. The design choices behind a bruiser or even a mage are honestly less varied than a support.

Your joking right? literally any champ can be a bruiser. there is a 2 damage item core for an AP bruiser than u can go full tank and have damage.

I think top lane is the weakest part of League by a mile. Very samey bruiser kits. Fights decided by stats more than play or counterplay. First blood ends the lane. No practical way for many bruiser kits to fight against ranged opponents. Lonely, isolated lane far from the action. Transitions into pointless wet noodle fights midgame.

I think support is now quite well designed. Most of the support kits are more interesting and versatile than the top lane kits. It just so happens that not many players enjoy playing a supporting role. Everyone wants to do the damages. Happens in every game, not just this one. That doesn't mean that say healing is poorly designed in WoW, it just means that the psychographic profile of players who enjoy that activity is less common than the hordes of players who want to play warrior type dudes.

I 100% agree with you. That why if I really want to play a support class I go on other moba like infinite crisis who know how to make supporting fun.

  1. This should have been a spreadsheet
  2. Vel'koz support? :(
Pika3104 votes

I tried to stay to common supports and he wasn't even listed as one, to be fair Alistar wasn't either, I just remembered him as I was wrapping up the healing comparison.

Vel'Koz:

Damage: P - 55; Q - 80; W - 75; E - 70; Total - 280 Heal: None Shield: None Mobility: None CC: Q - 70% Slow, 1 Second; E - .75 Second Knock-up

So technically he has the highest output amongst the supports, but he lacks any other redeeming feature except light CC.

Drakylon7 votes

You didn't give a complete representation of Sona's kit. Here's a list of things you forgot:

  • The shield can be applied to up to 5 champions, making the shield strength range 35-175 at max rank. Realistically by level 3, that would be 35-105 (up to 3).

  • Diminuendo. 20% damage reduction is pretty significant. Put it under shields; that's where you stuck all the other non-healing strictly defensive abilities.

Also, you're only comparing stats at level 3. Sona in particular gets a lot stronger with her ult; it's a very strong AoE stun and buffs her basic abilities. The other champions' ults are also integral to their kits: Zilean's revive; Janna's knockback and heal (it's stronger than you expect, leave it on a while); Lulu's Wild Growth; Nami's Tidal Wave; Leona's Solar Flare; Alistar's Triumphant Roar (the only reason he's considered a tank).

In addition, you don't take into account scaling at all. Whether by rank or by stats. To show an example of how strong scalings and ults can be, let's take a look at champion damage with rank 5 in their highest damage basic skill (level 9).

  • Alistar: 5-1-1-1 | P - 16-64 | Q - 60 | W - 275 | Total - 351-399 | max damage dealt over 12 seconds
  • Annie: 1-5-1-1 | Q - 80 | W - 250 | E - 0+ | R - 175-210 | Total - 505-540+ | min damage is a basic skill rotation, max damage dealt over 30 seconds
  • Braum: 5-1-1-1 | P - 0-104+ (don't just assume the passive will proc) | Q - 240 | R - 150 | Total - 390-494+ | basic skill rotation, max damage adds 3 autoattacks; does not include AA damage
  • Janna: 1-5-1-1 | Q - 60-105 | W - 280 | E - 14 AD | Total - 340-385 + 14AD | max damage dealt after 3 seconds
  • Karma: 5-1-1-2 | Q - 260 | W - 60 | R - 150-225 | Total - 470-545 | max damage dealt with unbroken leash
  • Leona: 1-5-1-1 | P - 80+ (ally req) | Q - 40 | W - 260 | E - 60 | R - 150 | Total - 590+ | W damage dealt after 3 seconds; requires ally damage; ally damage not included
  • Lulu: 5-1-1-1 | P - 57 | Q - 260 | E - 80 | Total - 397+ | assuming 1 autoattack and all passive projectiles hit; does not include AA damage
  • Morgana: 1-5-1-1 | Q - 80 | W - 400-600 conditional | R - 150-300 | Total - 630-980 conditional | requires full pool damage and unbroken leash, and assuming max %missing HP multiplier on pool; damage dealt over 3-5 seconds
  • Nami: 1-5-1-1 | Q - 75 | W - 230(-426) | E - 75 | R - 150 | Total - 530(-726) | max damage requires two bounces on enemy; cannot deal max damage on single enemy; requires 3 autoattacks; AA damage not included
  • Nami (single-target): 1-1-5-1 | Q - 75 | W - 65 | E - 255 | R - 150 | Total - 545
  • Sona: 5-1-1-1 | P - 82 - 123 | Q - 200 - 340 | R - 150 | Total - 423-613 (493-534 self) | requires one Power Chord auto and an ally auto; AA damage not included
  • Soraka: 1-1-5-1 (not standard, but most possible damage) | Q - 70-105 | E - 230-460 | Total - 300-565 | max damage requires perfect Q and full duration E; half of E damage dealt after 1.5 sconds
  • Taric: 1-1-5-1 | P - 20% armor per cast for 3 casts | W - 40 | E - 160-320 | R - 150 | Total: 350-510 + 0-60% armor | damage requires walking up to melee range
  • Thresh: 1-1-5-1 | Q - 80 | E - 185 + (Souls + up to 200% AD) for first AA | R - 250 | Total: 515 + Souls + up to 200% AD | assuming one fully charged Flay auto; AA damage not included
  • Zilean: 5-1-1-1 | Q - 320 | W - 320 (from Q) | Total: 640 | half of damage dealt after 5 seconds
  • Zyra: 1-1-5-1 (5-1-1-1 has the same damage) | Q - 70 + plants | E - 200 + plants | R - 180 | Total - 450 + plants

Here we can see that the rankings have changed considerably. Sona is now pretty close to the top in terms of max damage, even potentially outdamaging Annie, and Leona has dropped to the middle of the pack. In terms of single-target damage, Nami is no longer a contender for the top; Ebb and Flow cannot hit the same target twice.

You and friggen Pika do not understand how supports work AT ALL. Supports, as bloody SOON as the laning phase ENDS, ROAM, and that's the most important part of the game for supports. I like to divide the support into 2 jobs: Initiation Feeding everyone on your team. Yes, ADC is the most important player to feed, but not the only one and generally by the time the laning phase ends, if you're a good support and they have a brain in their head, they can take care of themselves. We are not baby-sitters, we are SUPPORTS.

eztarg3t6 votes

Although I can't argue about statistics with overall healing but when you're about to be blown up by a Ziggs ult, who do you really want as a healer in that moment? Nami or Soraka? Say whatever you want about the statistics but you can't ignore the goat's burst healing.

BastionKross6 votes

This probably took quite a bit work to put together, which begs the question of why you did it. You don't need raw numbers to tell you that Sona Soraka Taric are on the low end of the support tier list right now.

Don't get me wrong, that's not to say you absolutely can't do well with them with enough skill and the right situation, but Riot just doesn't like them being strong. They're boring to watch in lane. They're not #LCSBigPlays material. So Riot smacks them around with the nerf bat and justifies it by saying that playing against them is toxic because they bore the enemy laners to death.

And here's the kicker: Two of them got reworked recently, so you'd think they'd be transformed into something flashy enough to warrant being strong. You would be mistaken. Doesn't really bode well for Taric's rework, does it?

Sailor Mint5 votes

Markdown Table Generator is your friend. The strength of a champion's kit will generally be greater than the sum of its parts. Comparing specific aspects and abilities in a vaccum gives lopsided and faulty results.

A lot of info is missing or wrong (Lulu's ult) or not using proper metrics (HPS and HPM comparisons would help a lot).

Outside of being a thinly veiled Sona thread, what are you trying to say?

I'm not sure why you have a personal grudge against me or just want to specifically and personally attack only me, but it's frankly pathetic that you have so much free time on your hands. I assume you're just a hikikomori and this is the only way you know how to pass the time.

MungoGeri5 votes

This is a nice attempt. However, the situation gets a lot more complicated when you take into account special effects. In the case of Sona, there are the active abilities, the auras, and the interactions with her Power Chord passive. Proper use of these makes Sona very versatile -- able to deal damage, heal/shield, or crowd control as the situation is needed. Sona is in fact one of the best supports in the game if played well.

Pika3103 votes

I included everything short of Dimuendo, which is difficult to categorize, you would have noticed if you bothered to read it. Perhaps Diminuendo falls under CC with Tempo, but those are both immaterial as they were untouched by Fearless. Fact remains the rest of her kit has been blatantly nerfed and you want to argue the 2 things she kept after being put through the shredder. They were not improved, just left the same amongst countless nerfs.

Instead of living in the past, you should pay attention to the present.

Wow, you're pretty arrogant and without any cause for it. The present Sona is an excellent character that is grossly underplayed at present. You seem to prefer specialist characters who do a few things well rather than a generalist who does a lot of things OK. The new Sona's strength is in her versatility and how you manage your Power Chord and auras. She doesn't fit your playstyle? Fine. But that's not a problem with the character.

Pika3104 votes

You have no justification to base your claims on someone's arrogance that you know nothing about. You're just a hypocrite blindly calling out other people on your own offenses. You make baseless analyses on incomplete hunches as an attempt to personally attack and discredit other people.

Since it's clear you've never played Sona, her strength has ALWAYS been her versatility, both before the nerfs and now. You don't seem to realize all of her abilities remained the same at their core, they've only been blatantly nerfed without any REAL change being made to them. You should consider your lack of experience regarding a specific champ before boasting your unqualified biased opinions on them.

My justification for calling you arrogant is based on the comments you have made not only to me but other posters in this thread.

I have played Sona, actually. More, I have played with excellent Sonas who have dominated games both from the support position and on a few occasions mid. What they had in common was that they understood how to manage their auras and combo their Power Chord special effects depending on the situation. If that kind of management doesn't appeal to you, then there are plenty of specialized characters you can play. But again, that's not a problem with the character herself. It's just a matter of your personal preference.

So, you just wanted to say that Sona is bad? And how does she lacks hard CC when she has Crescendo?

Whatever, the logic of the approach was faulty to begin with.

She lacks hard CC pre-6, that's not including Crescendo. I specifically said this, you just didn't bother to read it or pay attention.

The absolute lowest amongst damage goes to Sona, the only support with a min falling well below 100 damage, she has the lowest max barely 2nd to Braum, her max is so low it only beats out 2 champs' mins.

Something is going wrong here, because Sona hits like an absolute truck. By far the scariest conventional support to lane against from a damage perspective.

The numbers don't lie, Hymn's bolt is 40 damage. IF she can coordinate perfectly with ADC, that's another 20x2. Staccato is 27+13.5. Rounding up, her full damage is 121 with perfect cooperation or 101 damage alone. That's assuming she's built up 3 charges for her passive, else-wise another 41 is shaved off as well.

It only seems like she's doing more cause of all the flashy lights, fact of the matter is she's consistently outdamaged by every other support.

Well, no wonder you're getting this wrong. Sona's fundamental play pattern is AA-Q-AA(PC). Proccing power chord resets your AA timer, so you can put these three attacks in the same time window it takes Thresh to hit back once. You can land 2-3 of these per minute, and it's mighty.

No other support can trade with Sona. Nami gets the closest with EW, but Sona's trading pattern is still stronger.

This.

Level 3 AD: 54 Spellthief's Edge: 5AP, 10 Damage proc (max 3 hits). Power Cord: 27 (+1) Damage / 40.5 (+1.5) w/ Staccato Hymn of Valor (Rank 2): 80 (+2.5) Bolts / 30 + (+1) AA Buff

AA-Q-AA + Power Cord + QBuff + Spellthief (3 hits) 54 + 82.5 + 54 + 42 + 31 + 30 = 293.5 Damage.

Factor in the ADC. ~75AD at level 3. 368.5 Damage And another 31 Damage if tagged by Q. 399.5 Damage.

After armor and resists, a single AA-Q-AA can still deal 30% of an 800HP champion's health at level 3.

Her level 2 is 52 + 42.5 + 52 + 21 + 30 = 229 Damage, against ~600-700 health targets.

I like the work this took but you said that sona has no hard cc... did they change her ult?

I was referring to pre-6. At the start I stated this was all done assuming level 3 and rank 1 in each skill. Karma is the only champ with access to R.

By level 6, depending on level-up paths there'd be 2 ambiguous points elsewhere. I had thought about separately comparing everyone's ultimates, but I had decided against it in the end.

Oh thats right I forgot that. I agree with you man I used to run sona all the time but now I never see her and it sucks cause I like sona a lot. Also I do think the supp champ pool needs balancing as a whole. Some supports seem to have it all and leave the others in the dust hardcore

I still play sona. Her damage and heal combination is devastating against kill lanes. Make Morgana's cry every game.

. . .

Just kidding (somewhat). Janna does have healing by the way.

Post-6 yes, but that was a different matter entirely. I wish the numbers could've better shown how strong Janna is. I think the problem is during comparison, the AD boost from her shield becomes an ambiguous factor. She's actually 2nd best to Thresh atm.

Blitz? item 3070 Blitzcrank item 3070

Oh damn, I'm honestly not sure how I missed him. This goes to show that you can't just type in "support" on the site and get anything remotely close to a complete list. Ffs it lists Anivia and Syndra.

Blitzcrank:

Damage: Q - 80; W - 30% AS; E - 67; Total - 147+30% AS Heal: none Shield: P - 163 or less HP Mobility: W - 16% MS CC: Q - 925 Rng Pull, 1 Second Stun; E - 1 Second Knockup

Blitz serves a niche pick, because of Rocket Grab. Certain pros will tell you he's the best champion in the game. If you can consistently do well with him, he potentially can be.
