Why should I get demoted because I had 2 afks?

I am not joking, I've been trying to climb from S5 to S4 for 2 months, u can laugh at that, I got demoted at the same day, because, in my SILVER 4 games, there a bronze 2 asshole, who has an empty account, went afk, and another asshole followed him by rage quitting, why isn't there a protection from demotion is such cases, the system already detects afks, how hard is it to link it to a new system to help us, we poor players from demotion is these stupid cases??

for the same reason you should get promoted when the enemy has 2 afk's, because that's how the game works

I'm honestly not entirely sure why, maybe that's how riot sees it ''well sometimes you lose because of it sometimes you win because of it'' though I could also see an argument being made that if you know if someone leaves you don't get punished you may feel enticed to harass someone to leave
