Is it good to get warmogs after getting a bunch of armor

KoKoboto··1 votes·365 views

If I buy an flat armor item like item 3110 ,item 3025, item 3075 Is it okay to buy item 3083 after?

This way I think I balance the high amount of armor I got with a high amount of health. Same question vice versa

You have the right idea, but I would actually recommend going for health first.

Armor is much more effective at increasing the value of the health you have. So having more health means you get even more value.

However flat health and sustain is more valuable than armor early on.

Even if you only buy two Ruby Crystals or a Giant's Belt, then go into your armor items, you will be better off.

One thing to keep in mind is that armor also increases the value of regen. More armor has hp5 than hp has hp5.

This is more pertinent on ARAM, but you can get a significant amount of hp5 without warmog's. I routinely get 40 in combat hps on Sejuani. Regen is more of a binary thing because having too little is meaningless, but if you have a critical amount relative to incoming damage, it makes you unkillable.

Go HP because it is better for the early game. stack resistances later, btw if you want to shit on an ADC go item 3047 item 1011 item 3110 then finishitem 3143 warmogs isn't great BTW, most go for other items over it.

Above poster is correct - to add on, 1 armor is equivalent to 1% more damage the enemy has to do to kill you. If you have 100 armor, they have to do double as much than they would with zero.

Health is flat, armor is multiplicative. Increase the flat number to make the multiplicative factor much more effective (awkward sentence).

Here, this may help.

The approximate gold value of 100 health is 266.6 gold. 10 armor is 200 gold.

If you have 100 health and 10 armor (to keep things simple.) your enemy will need to deal 110 damage to you in order to kill you.

If you spend 1900 gold to get 90 armor they then need to deal 200 damage to kill you.

If you spend 266.6 gold to gain 100 health they have to deal 220 damage to kill you

For grins, if you spend 2166.6 gold to get 200 health and 100 armor, your enemy will need to deal 400 damage to kill you.

This is obviously very over simplified, but I think it illustrates the message.

If they don't have insane bursty ap carries yeah that would be a pretty OP build.

Warmogs is generally only great if you have 2200hp before grabbing it. It's the sustain passive that makes it good. Plenty of health items that will get you there tho.

Consider for instance item 2045 . 500hp for 1600 gold. That is very cheap. And it gives you protection from ganks also by having wards that last 3 minutes instead of the low duration trinket wards. And if you get item 3512 or item 3060 it becomes even better.
