What if Cho'Gath feast worked like how it worked in Invasion?

Instead of doing the damage instantly its like Tahm Kench Devour where cho'gath suppresses a champion inside himself.

the Champion chogaths eats are stuck inside his stomach taking damage over time (values the same as LIVE damage but spread out over 4 seconds) If Cho'Gath takes at least 30% of his max HP he spits them out prematurely .

I think this might the keep the 1k Feast instakills from happening during a teamfight assuming the enemy team is aware of their allies positioning .

How about doing it as an upgrade, when he reaches a certain size, dependent on Feats stacks and R rank? Also he should get a percentage of the damage he deals over time as hp, so that it isn't a nerf, but a change.

30% is a bit easy though, I'd argue 50%. Honestly 30% procs stormraiders and that's never been particularly hard to activate.

Against a tank?

Against a tank?

I mean, if you have four seconds to do it?

I suppose it might be an interesting idea for champions only. Cho'Gath dealing 1000 true damage to monsters with a click of a button is rather important to his current power level.

How about for everything except Dragon, Herald and Baron; because they are too big to be swallowed whole.

I...guess? There's not really much of a point to suppressing a minion or monster for four seconds, but if that's what you want.

So you want to make an 80 second cooldown ult, that constitutes a very large portion of his power budget, which reliability directly effects his scaling something out of his control to execute. How about not allowing a jungler to pop round when the cooldown is up to deny Cho from being able to feast anything other than a minion for a stack. Effectively negating his post-6 kill pressure. I am considering Top/Mid Cho here of course. But even jungle Cho would be overly punished during lane phase by counterganks. Further, it makes ganking botlane harder if some damage can negate his.

No comments on how fun and fair it would to fight a whole Teamfight 4v5 for 4 seconds unless you focus the Tank? KK, everyting's fine than I guess. xD

That is a very good point. He could just take out the full health frontline tank also.

Yes you can. You can feast on targets that won't get instakilled by the damage. Which, as the OP stated, would suppress them for 4 seconds. Taking them out for the (majority of the) fight. Furthermore, because they are the frontline, Cho can just walk back into his team during that 4 seconds, as nothing states he is movement impaired during that time. (perhaps slowed if taken after Tahm) And kill the frontline with 5 or force a 4v5 fight without their tank.
