There are many decent mages left such as. Win rates in Plat+ are: 60% 46.7%(nerfs) 49.6% 46.4% 50.4% 47% 54% 53% 51% 51.5% 47% Now are the main outliers here are Theres only 3 outliers wich is good it means that mages are a balanced class as they have pretty much only 2 op champs in terms of winrate. Mages Are balanced but being overshadowed by adcs once adcs get nerfed mages will be fine Also Lich bane wins if used by ekko fizz etc i just think people are mad because something is balanced? Also dont bullshit about proplay 0.0001% of people. Arguably adcs should be stronger because they have a class dedicated to them but adc items are overtuned + ardent

They need to give AP mages the mid game that they used to have. There aren't many mages left that have the strong mid game anymore. This is basically why champions like Orianna have become strong. They kept nerfing other mages' mid game spike either through items or kit. Champions that were once picked in mid lane because they had a decent early game and the strong mid game are not viable as they used to. It's why some ADC champions who remained static can go to mid lane now. The champions can could have destroyed mid lane adc's aren't there just yet...

It's why ADC like Lucian can bully out a majority of AP champions. (not all)

the problem isnt mages being weak or balanced the problem is they are becoming boring and basically forced to do one thing due to massive nerfs to ap items where you build the same thing on most ap champs besides the ones that need certain item to function and they are even worse

Honestly I think Aurelion and Karthas are two of the absolute strongest champs in the game right now.
