If you afk for any reason the first time should be a no questions asked 24 hour ban.
Doesn't matter why you afked weather bad net random dc. That is your problem make sure you fix it before you lay again the next day.
Doing so again within a two week period results in a week long ban.
Do it again within a month of that and a permanant ban.

So let me get this straight... I start to play a game and out of nowhere my ISP decides to run maintenance making me lose my internet for the usual 30 mins to an hour that it takes to finish. So I get banned all due to my ISP being a massive dickwad? Or I am playing the game but out of nowhere a power outage occurs due to whatever circumstances so I get banned? Like this is hilariously bad. You cannot just insta ban people who went afk because there are actual legitimate reasons as to why someone might go afk in the first place. Repeat offenders are the ones who need to be punished and that is what currently happens. A one time thing should not cause you to get banned period.
AFK punishments got to be harsh but this is just too extreme. If this goes through you could expect 33% of the good playerbase banned at any time Not to mention this is the third time riot's client has thrown me out of a game in the past 2 months, cause riot cant fix their client
