Azir's Q should use his autoattack timer

So that he can't immediately Q -> Auto you in lane. That's the main thing that makes his laning phase super oppressive.

It's either that or give him a really awkward increasing range on his Q. His laning phase needs to actually be weak given how absurdly well he scales.

I mean that's how they should have nerfed him.

He's still overbearing as fuck if the player knows what they're doing, since his weaknesses are basically all mechanical.

I would say in most cases, the delay from casting Q and the time that it takes from the soldier to travel to it's destination would most likely be enough time for his auto attack timer to reset anyways. You have to keep in mind that with points in his W he gains attack speed already. I don't think triggering his Q as an auto attack will really make any difference unless you make the duration of the ability a channel, and then the Shurima Shuffle dies, and so does Azir.

Just have his Q restart his autoattack timer when it arrives.

I mean, or remove the AS on his W since he really shouldn't have a pile of free stats.

40.88% game winrate and ~30% lane winrate as of making this post. His kit has already been guttered by numerous nerfs. He does not need more.

If you are losing to Azir consistently in lane, it is a function of you not knowing how to play against him. His long-range poke and above-average lategame comes at the expense of being bad at everything else.
