Dose Sylas feel incomplete to you?

His whole kit doesn’t work. Not tanky for top. Doesn’t have the range for mid. There are so many bugs with his ult it’s not even funny. Like being able to get rank 3 ult at lv 11 because of anyone who can transform. Sometimes you don’t even hear his voice clips when you walk and attack, they just won’t play at all. Did Riot just rush this guy out? I think so because to me he feels incomplete and I don’t think that’s a good design theme to go with making a champion, if that was what they were going for. You should probably have higher standards because it’s not 5 years later we’re you can just make a champion every two weeks, those days are gone.

We had broken champions Zoe. Weak champions Diana. Champions a lot more complex and a lot more bugs, but actually could be played Azir. Sylas is the first champion we’re he was released not finished.

He definitely was not rushed, but you have to give them a little leeway with the new tech. Unfortunately, there's not a great track record on bugfixing when it comes to unique tech. Syndra, Morde, and Zyra come to mind as champs with unique tech and lots of persistent bugs that lasted a very long time.

Sylas is a weird one because you're right that his kit does feel incomplete. Oddly enough, it also feels overloaded. Perhaps there's too much there without enough cohesion? Honestly, I can't quite put my finger on it. It just doesn't seem to have a clear logic to the design other than to check off ult compatibility boxes.

As he is now, I just can't find a reason to pick him when Ekko does everything better and with more safety and group utility. Diana is a similar AP diver, but she has way better burst and reliability. Galio does a similar job while being way tankier. Sylas doesn't really have a place.

I think a lot of this is because his itemization is AP, and there is no rush item for AP divers who need a mana item, hp, and CDR. The old GLP or AP trinity would have been great on him.

Actually they just released a little development story about him saying his ult is the most complex and tricky ability they ever made. It stands to reason that this would have quite a few bugs until they work them out
